Default Chain Handle Betty....need advice & pix...

Hi girls. I am thinking I may NEED a chain handle Betty.
I would love to see photos of yours, please.
But have some questions...
SIZE?? I have seen references to SM, MED, LG.... but what are dimensions and weight??
Also.. has anyone had any problems w/ their chain betty?
And does that chain catch in your hair?

THANKS for any advice!!

I have two of the regular sized ones, Ellie Mae. There are only two sizes - this regular size and then a giant sized version which I also owned at one time. The giant size had two chain handles that were shorter than the one on the regular sized bag. It was a very cumbersome and heavy bag and I usually don't complain about bag weight at all. It looked way cool on, though. None of the links catch in your hair. But I have to admit it is a little awkward to wear the regular sized version too - even though there is a flat piece of leather at the shoulder. I worry about the handle coming off since that us what eventually happened with the larger version. Easy to repair - but still. I don't remember the official dimensions but I think it is about 15" long and 9 or 10" high and wide to make it more of a box. All this sounds dreadful but it is the bag I have probably received the most enthusiastic reaction over.

Here are some pics but remember I am really tall so these hang lower on shorter girls....

Ellie Mae, I have a bordeaux patent chain Betty like the one Div has in brown, and I love it. I've had women stop me and compliment me on the bag and ask if it is a Chloe or ask what designer it is, so I would highly recommend one.

To chime in with Div, I, too, bought the large double handle one and returned it, the threads in the handle were coming loose, but I probably would have had it repaired if it didn't weigh so much, but I sure loved the look of that bag, I think it was one of the coolest out there.

BTW, this bag does look a little boxy, but when being worn, it slouches beautifully - so my advice, go for it!!

There's one like mine on e-bay ending in a few hours - great price for a new one.

THANKS MUCH for the responses ladies! Def the smaller size as I am all of 5'4, so the large one would be like hauling luggage. And although I have said over and over that I do not want any "snake bags", I LOVE that cream python on DIV.
Does this bag come in "non-snake" in that color, also?
There is a bronze metallic on eBay, but really, I am thinking I already own enough metallics.
And I am guessing this bag is no longer available in stores?

Ellie Mae - NAP did have a "mastic" colored one which was the same hue as the python but wasn't a reptile skin. This item was being sold back in 2006/7 so it would be hard to find it in stores. Maybe the outlet mall in New York? Sacoche has some in various colorways but they are not responding to emails these days. Definitely hunt it down on eBay. They pop up all the time but I don't think I've seen any mastic ones, though???

Von - I am six feet tall but I don't know how that translates into centimeters or whatever? Shame on me! And don't be afraid of the python's wearability. The scales don't really pick up dirt.

But it´s possible to wear this lovely bag in your hand, not only in the shoulder ...?

Mmmm? I guess you can but it would dangle a bit. For me with my height it would work a litle better hanging from my arm but for normal sized gals - ???? Perhaps Susie can chime in here since she did not inherit the height gene in our family and is a measly 5'6-ish.
