Unhappy Problem with padlock. What do I do?
I received my Padlock Pouch Belt belt a few weeks ago and used it for the first time tonight. The lock popped off, but I didn't think too much of it. I went to the supermarket and almost had a heart attack because it was off again. I found it outside in the rain when I got back to my apartment. :( I can still return it to NM, but they said it is discontinued and can't be replaced. Can I contact Chloe and send it for repair or replacement of the padlock? It is so cute and for the $165 I paid I really want to keep it. Please help!

P.S. NM online chat just suggested I try to get it repaired and send them the receipt. I guess I could do that, but wouldn't Chloe repair it free since this is the first time I used it? NM just said since I purchased it from them I wouldn't contact Chloe. Is there anything else I can do?

It is possible isn't it to buy replacement padlocks in whatever colour you need? Where would you go for this, can Chloe authorised sellers organise this or should I go to the mothership and visit their website?

I am in LA, so the boutique SA can order one for me if I want one. THe large padlocks cost $200. Does australia have any boutiques? Maybe should call them and find out.

I went to the Chloe website to check for Aussie boutiques, but the restrictions on my work computer prevent me from seeing. I'll check when I get home as I've really no idea.

At this stage I haven't received my Paddington Hobo yet and aren't even sure of what colour it is (the auction didn't state), so will have to work that one out first!

Hi vintagecharm, there are mixed reviews on how to get one; my suggestion is to contact a chloe boutique to see if they will sell you one. You could also try eBay!

they pop up on ebay sometimes, you can get them from chloe but i think they are very expensive, what colour are you after brass or the silver?
is it because your padlock has broken? if so chloe will repair it for you as long as you have proof of puchase!

Your profile says you're in Australia so you could try ringing DJ's in Brisbane. They've ordered one from the Hong-Kong boutique for me and its ETA is Tuesday. If it actually arrives then it's pretty quick- less than a week between ordering and arrival.
Since I'm in Sydney I guess I'll need to wait a bit longer to get my hands on it.

Thank you all for responding. The crisis is now over, I was purchasing a bag without a lock but the sale fell through so I don't have to look any further.
I wonder how much a lock would have cost?

Yes it was a certain bag on ebay but I missed out. I have a small rouge paddy so if I found a large rouge paddy without lock I would definately buy it.

Did you have any luck in receiving your lock? If so, what colour is it and how much did it cost?

Default Re: Problem with padlock. What do I do? Fixing and Buying Replacement Lock and Key
I bought my Paddington Hobo last year. The leather string that was attached with the key often came loose and fell off my bag. Recently it fell off again and my mid threw it away along with the dust bag. The thing is i bought this bag in a boutique in Hong Kong and i am now in Bangkok. Is there anyway they can replace me with a key and the same color leather string that matches my bag? and perhaps a dust bag too? any advise would help. thanks
