Default Please help, having problems getting a price adjustment on Chloe at Nordstrom!

I was so excited to get the last prune Heloise in Nordstrom, but I was even more thrilled when I heard the designer bags went down to 60% off.

When I called the SA that sold me Heloise, Peggy, to get the price adjustment, she told me: her buyer and her manager told her no price adjustment on designer bags! Being a bit persistant, I called the store that shipped my bag- in Michigan- and was told I had to call the store that made the sale (Seattle). So then I called Seattle's customer service they also told me that I could not get the price adjustment on sale designer bags.

Has anyone heard of this? I live about 400 miles away from the nearest Nordstrom, so going to a store to ask for a PA is out of the question. Any other suggestions?

By the way the Heli is gorgeous, but I was so looking forward to getting another $300+ knocked off the price!

I think this is something new at Nordstroms. I encountered the very same thing at Neimans - but I thought I read in one of the recent threads that Nordstroms allows two weeks for a price adjustment? In the past I had incredible luck with my local Nordstroms - that doesn't carry Chloe. They allowed a price adjustment - to RACK prices - that I didn't even ask for? Maybe the salespeople are all getting pressured to sell merchandise at the highest price possible. Sales these days are WACKEE what with all this pre-selling and bigger and bigger discounts. One thing you CAN do is try to find ANOTHER purple Heloise at Nordstroms somewhere and THEN return the more expensive one???? Good luck girl......

Thanks Div, you are always so sweet. I'm having back spasms and can't really stand up- and the college age children are just doing their own thing, still waiting for me to cook- so they're just going to starve.

Oh, I am so sorry hun, try to work out again. BTW, yes, they will do PA on regular price but not for sale price....I asked my SA at MA, and she is my manager. I was told :" if they knew me and I 'm good enough, they can do my favor by do return, hold it for tommorow rebuy" ...but since alot of good deal at Nordies now, all SA just want to "steal" hot bag for their customer. My SA at Nordies just "steal" the bag right away from yesterday for me....LOL

I have it already and it was $999, no tax and $9.00 shipping. I can't return and rebuy since there's no store near me.

Wow, I've dealt w/ the Seattle store for price adjustments on sale items and had no problems. But that was last year, and I don't know if Nordies policy has changed on PAs since then. I do know that the return policy has. I bought a bag last month and was informed that bags must now have their appropriate tags outside the bag or it will not be accepted for return. I realize that a few customers have taken advantage by returning clearly used bags and thus have messed it up for the majority, but my goodness! I thinks this is a shock, especially for Nordstrom. $300 is no chump change. Keep trying, and maybe another SA will be more sympathetic.

Peggy sends me e-mails with the bags on sale, and I've noticed there was a notification of no price adjustments on prior purchases, I don't remember seeing that before, so maybe this is a new policy.
If I were you, I would keep trying, sometimes 'the squeeky wheel gets the oil.'

I even tried live chat and they told me that I would have to call the store that I purchased the bag at.

I purchased this bag 7 days ago on 6/20, the second markdown officially started on like the 25th.

Most stores offer a 10 day price adjustment. I'm just not understanding this from a store like Nordstrom's, I could see it if it had been longer than 10 days or a final sale, but for customer service sake you think they would gladly readjust the price.

I'd keep trying.
