rosewood is gorgeous

But do you see the differences in the silver finish, or is it just me?

The Chloe name plate looks fine, maybe they've photoshopped the padlocks for some reason to make them look shinier???

I saw these in selfridges yesterday, they are a bit shiner and the rosewood is stunning IRL however i'm just not loving the leather, it's very nice but just not an old chloe you know?

I agree, the colours are very tempting but I just dont think I could buy a new season paddy- gotta have some smooshiness with the leather!

I want to see these in the Chloe boutiques here, but we aren't due to get an order in for a while yet.

I'll probably end up seeing them in London first when I go on holiday to the UK

the padlocks are shinny now arent they!??
my baby with the white lock has shinny silver parts though!
it a new thing they have started i think!

I agree about the leather, what is going on with it?
I was in Nordstrom today, smelling bags (as you do) and they smell more and more like shoe leather, less like the lovely chloe smell. The leather now is starting to look a bit plastic, like all those bags on eBay that I try to avoid and is it me or do the padlocks seem even lighter!
. I think in a few years, when these are on sale on eBay they will be easier to fake because there is no real quality to them it seems to me, which is why I was crazy about chloe in the first place!

Everyone should boycott and only buy older bags, until they sort themselves out.

It's interesting that the same issues are occuring with Balenciaga bags - the quality is going downhill
It's a shame that the prices are increasing and the quality is decreasing - hope they get it sorted soon!
It's also funny how much chloe changes the leather between years...I wonder why?

Is your new baby white paddy pictured in your collection yet? I was going to order a black plexi paddy tomorrow (IF still avail) and would like to see a close-up of the leather on an 08. Ya'll are scarin' me now!!

Everyone can have different opinions of the leather, so you might love the 08 leather! For example, I'm not too in love with the 05 leather I know everyone raves about it, I'm just worried it's too floppy and not very substantial. I prefer 06, thicker and smooshy without being too floppy.

If bag*mad*bags can't post a photo before you order, you could check the return policy before you order the bag? Just in case you're not happy?

Well, I am going to order that black plexi tomorrow if avail cause it's ON SALE, so I'll let you know! I like the older leathers that I have seen also, but I am not sure I'd know the difference between the 06 and the 05 if it bit me!

I have 06 and 05 bags. For me the 05 leather is slightly thicker and smells better,but I don't think there's a lot of difference between 05 and 06 ( mine is early 06, maybe later 06 is different?)
I am a fan of super pebbled chloes so I choose bags that were super smooshy looking, I know some people like more smooth leather, so I think it's like qwerty said that it's completely personal taste. The newer bags are less pebbled looking and will actually probably stay a more structured shape because of it.

oooh...sale..... I don't know how you ladies in the US can stand it, all these great sales everywhere!

For the 05 and 06 leather differences, here are two pics of my 05 Blue nuit and my 06 jeans moyen. The jeans moyen is smooshy, but looks almost smooth and stiff compared to the 05! the 05 'caves' much more, it's so floppy and light.

I agree with aimtree too, the 05 leather does have a different smell to it, it's lovely!

I like the leather of the JEANS better. BUT... honestly, I almost always think lighter colored leather looks prettier than really dark colored leather.
Unfortunately, I don't live in any better location for sales than you do. To actually GO to NM, Saks, Nordies requires an airplane. I have to order them, hon, just like you do. I am a MAJOR online shopper!! But I do enjoy that... order a bag in your jammies in the middle of the night and it just appears at your front door!
