That was my first gut reaction....guess it's best to go with that. Makes no sense to me that no additional photos can be supplied.

I wrote about them in another post, I can't remember which one, but they're also intrends.com. Some people have had bad experiences from them but all the bags I've gotten are authentic so it's really a risk. The question is, how much of a risk are you willing to take, specially if it involves a lot of money. In my case, they are just a few miles away from where I live so if I had a problem with anything I wouldn't hesitate driving over there and demanding my money back. So far, so good.

Good luck with finding that elusive Taupe paddy! :)

Ok, time to vent. Everyone on this board probably knows by now that I'm searching for a Taupe Paddy. I found a beautiful one on eBay about three weeks ago that had a pretty high starting price and a BIN of $1399 or so. It apparently ended without a bid. Then it was relisted at a lower starting bid and BIN last week. I placed a bid without waiting to hear from the seller as to where the bag came from. (Stupid, and I certainly know better, but I was just so excited to finally find one.) The pics looked so good I was 99% sure it was authentic, but I was still curious about it's origin, and the seller had mentioned she still had the original tags and receipt. A few hours later she responding and said the bag came from BlueFly. After hearing about all the fakes recently sold by them, I immediately retracted my bid. I explained to the seller my concerns and she was very gracious about it and did not hassle me which I appreciated, and then the listing disappeared altogether.

While chatting with a fellow PF'er about my experience she said the exact same thing happened to a friend of hers (same bag, same seller) and she also retracted her bid once she found out it came from BlueFly.

Well, this morning...the same seller has the bag listed again but is now claiming that it came from Neiman Marcus and shows a NM tag lying next to the bag!! I am sick to my stomach and angry. Maybe this is all coincidence and she is being honest....maybe it's a different bag altogether, but what are the chances of that? Just the same it has really made me leary of putting my trust out there anymore on eBay.

I also want to know about Portero auctions. I am looking for an Edith in a color other than whiskey.

Here's a search of Portero. Some people say that they are reputable and others that he has also been selling some fakes, hope this helps you.
I was also really interested because they are selling some Chloés

Did anybody bought something from adaptiv-style? They are selling Chloé bags too but I don't know if it's a reputable seller.

Agreed. This is one delightful lady. She is a total bag addict and it is really worth watching her sales.
