Hi Aimtree, i think that Ink Paddy was one i was looking at to buy but i was umming and aahing about it after checking with some of the others who mentioned about the "barcode cover up" in all the photos - and then someone else snatched it! I would be interested to know what some of the feedback is since they always have quite a few bags on sale....It would be interesting if someone mentioned the bags may be fake....Thanks!

hi there
You need to post this in the Chloe authenticate thread ! That way it will get checked out for you.

cdnbgirl - Hi there - I don't have any personal experience with this seller - but I've had a look at some of her listings and they appear authentic. I had a look at a black Silverado - and it looks ok - although I would advise further photos - I think - if you are interested in a particular bag - that you would be best to post in the Authenticate This Chloe Thread - and the bag can be checked - Right now - I tend to think the items are authentic - but its always best to double check.

I have just checked their Toolhaus - and you may want to glance at this link -

Nice selection of Chloes for GREAT prices at Fashionphile.com ( I know how pristine some of them are since some of them were mine - but just to ensure that I am not doing anything illegal, I SOLD to them and did not consign, so it's not like I am advertising my own bags for sale - they are theirs now!!).

Ok, I know I am a little behind the times, but I have always wanted a Chloe Edith, and finally took a chance on bidding on one on Ebay, after looking for quite some time. Won it, then the seller emailed me to say that her 3 year old had just put a mark on it with a pen/marker, very apologetic and nice, but something was odd. She refunded my money, and I feel as if I dodged a bullet, but am now filled with such sadness and longing for the Edith, as I thought perhaps she was finally to be mine.
Reading this forum, and looking on Ebay at high prices and obvious fakes, blurry photos, etc. has put me in a tail spin. I buy and sell, as well, many things on Ebay, but generally not anything of such value. I am always honest and have for the most part dealt with wonderful and kind people, but the thought of spending hundreds of dollars for a fake and then be left to mercy of Ebay for retribution scares me to death.
Any advice on how to secure a genuine Edith?

Sorry to hear about your bad experience

You can get some great bags on ebay, and places like Anns fab Finds and Bonanzle. If you're unsure, you can post the bag you're interested in on the Authenticate This Chloe thread. The lovely ladies there will happily check out the photos of the bag for you and let you know if it's authentic or not. I never buy from ebay without checking the auction there first.

Good luck with your search

Bless your heart.. DO watch bonanzle.com, as the sellers there are not QUITE as insane.. USUALLY.

It IS disheartening.. but the truth of the matter is that IN TODAY'S WORLD, "benefit of the doubt" is GONE, and "PROVE IT" has become that mantra of the selling world today. Look for a seller who can put their money where their mouth is.

Thanks for the kind words and support!! I am so happy to have found this forum. I've been reading alot of threads and it is daunting how many crazy evil
people there are out there scamming for bags and money. I hadn't quite realized this.
I also checked the feedback of the buyer I was dealing with and looked at the items sold and purchased. She had just bought this Chloe bag 2 weeks prior...that set off some red flags for me. Maybe she changed her mind, but maybe she thought it was fake?? Any ideas?
