Has anybody shopped with portero.com? If so what did you think and were the goods authentic? Cheers.

I don't think I have ever seen the price on the tag like that.. usually from a retailer, there is a SEPARATE price tag...?? MY NM bag had a separate NM price tag. That is the BACK side of the Chloe tag, and on my tag, they would be covering up the barcode and an OF #.... whatever that is. Doesn't seem to me like this is something necessary to hide... ??

Ah, I didn't realise the OF code was being hidden too, that is rather strange...usually you can spot fakes by looking at that part of the tag, very suspicious now you've pointed that out!

Over here in Australia, the Chloe barcodes are covered by the boutique/store price tags with their own barcodes, I assumed it was something simple like that

And this seller is in Italy, so could be same deal. But, I would think he would just mark-out or cover up the pricetag if it was stuck over the barcode and he really did not intend for anyone to ever see it. You can still see part of the bar-code above his thumb, so I don't know what it is about. It is kind of odd. And per ATC posts, requests for extra pics for auth purposes go unanswered.

Yeah, I saw that on the ATC. I think I'd stay well away from any seller who doesn't respond!
And the covering of the bottom half of the tag is worrying, like you said. Won't be buying from them any time soon!

Here's one to remember... "Super Large Paddington" $1199.99
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=005

Call me stupid... 3 photos in auction, 18 feedback, only $200 PP protect, so I emailed request for certain photos WITHOUT reading the part of her auction that clearly states...."REGARDING QUESTIONS ABOUT AUTHENTICITY, I always ask that people do not email me with questions about authenticity...it becomes extremely frustrating for someone who only sells authentic items"

I DIDN'T question the auth. I sent ONE email asking "could you please email me the following photos...and hologram card if an 08" I received 4 replies....

1. I am happy to send the photos you requested, provide email addy

2. It's not from 08, it's 07.

3. By the way, the bag is real. And I own 7 Chloe bags and 10
Chanel handbags- all bought in boutiques and that is a small
fraction of my couture clothing and accessories in my closet.
This bag is either a 2006 or 2007, bought at Nordstroms in The
Grove in Los Angeles. It does not have a hologram or stamps-
probably because it was issued before those things. No need for
you to be rude and call my item fake. If you think it's fake, then
you clearly are not familiar with Stella's collections so don't bid
on it and bid on someone else's item. Thanks for your interest.

4.(her BOLD, not mine) By the way, I always warn people that holograms and cards are also in fake bags as well. In fact, when the real designers often do not use holograms or authenticity cards, the knock-offs do. So in my opinion, you have to see it in person or be someone who buys a lot of Chanel/Chloe/other designer items and keeps up on the collections to know if something is real or not. It's obvious when you get an item and touch it/wear that it is authentic. If you know what couture feels and looks like, it's absolutely unmistakable to you- trust me. You do not know if a bag is real based on whether or not it has a card or a stamp. Please know I have tried to provide as much "evidence" as
possible. On eBay you always take a chance I suppose- but all my stuff is 100% positively guaranteed authentic or your money back. I'm not a person who owns any fake designer items because I think they are absolutely ugly and they are the product of such global tragedies as child slavery in underdeveloped nations. Please see article:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fzWB4iF_hE and read
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-471679/Revealed-The-true-cost-buying-cheap-fake-goods.html.
Sorry, there's nothing more I can say. All of my items are guaranteed to be authentic or your money back and I have a 7 day return policy. If I sold fake items, I doubt I would be stupid enough to offer those two things. Thank you.

And make sure you read the part in her auction that says "THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST AND I HOPE YOU WILL TAKE A CHANCE AND PURCHASE ONE OF MY ITEMS"

I basically got my butt chewed out... more than once... for asking for extra photos. FYI, I DID receive some photos in 4th email, so if this bag interests you, PM me and I can email them to you. I am definitely no longer interested.

She sent several far-away photos just like on the auction, plus close up of the plate, the buckle, the padlock. Still nothing of the date/stamp tag.

Wowza- what a horrible individual. Lucky escape there Ellie May- some of these eBay sellers are unbelievable. If someone is confident their item is authentic then why get snippy at honest buyers looking for an authentic bag?? Even if the item is genuine I wouldnt buy from them with that attitude- all it does is alienate potential buyers

Not only that, but #1 you would POST enough clear, close-up photos to PROVE it was auth, and #2 you would not be offended by someone ASKING for add'l photos prior to buying a $1200 bag! I mean REALLY! I was ASTONISHED by her responses. And I have to wonder what was her point of chewing me out and then sending the photos anyway? Cranky old bat!
