Discuss: Chloe Resale/Ebay Sellers

Hi Everyone

Not sure I'm posting this in the right place, so feel free to move this if necessary!
I'm not in any way trying to advertise here, but I'd like some advice on selling a Chloe Betty. How do I know how much to sell it for? I bought it new from ebay a few months ago and have taken the tags off (still have them though) but have never actually carried the bag. Is there a reference anywhere re: how much to charge? Or do I just estimate what I think it's worth?

I don't know if it is appropriate to discuss here -- I know tPF has a strict policy regarding "thinking of selling" threads, but your question seems honest enough so I hope I'm not breaking any rules by responding. In general, the best way to determine the price is by looking at the "completed auctions" of the same bag. From there, you can see what the same bag has sold for recently. You will also need to take into consideration the condition of your bag vs. the ones sold. If yours is in better condition(you say it is like new) it should command a higher price than one that has been used. Also, disregard fakes that have sold, when listing an authentic bag. Last, consider what price you would be happy with...

They are reputable but be aware that most of their items are used. Be sure to inquire about the condition and look closely at the pictures.

I think you should post him on the report fake chloe's link - a lot of the authenticators have the details on the bottom of their signatures. I am in the same situation as you - European based needing to buy from Europe to avoid the 30% plus shipping charges importing from other countries but there are very slim pickings. I would appreciate if you could recommend any good sellers to me. Best

Yes, they sell authentic bags. I have purchased 2 Chloe bags [My large paddington and a Tracy], from them. Some longer members of the forum remember when they didn't have security tags and people switched them for fakes and then returned them. The current security tags now prevent that from happening.

Beware of designerdivacouture on ebay. She stole all my photos from a Chloe listing so I'm assuming what she is selling is a fake.

Okay, I have to print a "retraction". I wrote a scathing email to this seller and she quickly wrote back totally apologetic and told me that it was her teenage daughter, who had stolen the photos from my listing, and she didn't "know" she was doing wrong (the daughter).

This woman was so apologetic and so gracious, I just have to believe her. So, retraction of my accusation above.....
