How do you make contact with roz77772002? I am new to the Chloe line and looking for a chocolate paddy, and apparently from all the reading I have been doing here, they don't make that color any more?

I would love, love, love to track down one of the 05 or 06 paddys.......

Search for BagAngel here, or on Ebay - the Roz ID given above (copy/paste it with all the numbers!)

re:hgbags...i think it comes down to the individual...some people have been lucky to get the real thing but how would you feel if you didn't?
it is a very grey area, isn't it?
she could have some legit items and some that are not and you will be taking a gamble...and BTW i'm not passing judgement on anyone's actions we all are adults and can make our own minds re: who we buy from. i'm glad that her inconsistencies were brought to everyone's attention so now anyone can make an informed choice.
it still leaves for me the question of what happened to those who paid for a fake...?
leaving the soapbox now.

Anyone reading my recommendations should take them as exactly that - one personal experience in the context of many.

I bought from her before reading anything negative about her. In fact, i had never heard anything really bad until now, despite asking about her in another thread when I was thinking about buying! When did all this happen?

Well, that thread is from a while ago, but hgbags sold a fake Spy to a PFer very recently.

She is/was definitely not accidentally mixing-up fakes with authentics, as she was on ioffer, knowingly selling fake Birkins to resellers and telling them how much they could mark them up by on eBay.

This all came out on the thread.

BTW, it's, very obviously, not someone's fault if they buy from a seller like this without knowing what they're like.

I just think that we owe it to other eBayers not to buy from a seller we know to be unreliable, even if we hope/think that it won't happen to us, personally.

Much better to buy from an authorised store, or if the item is is no longer available, from a totally reliable eBay seller; with no history of scamming buyers.

ITA.

Roz is completely trustworthy.

Also, look for sellers that have been a member of eBay for a good while and have excellent feedback from buyers (don't worry too much if they have a few negs from sellers - that can actually be a sign of honesty! ) and only sell the occasional item, from their own collection, from time-to-time.

Of course, very little on eBay is 100% safe, but there are certain precautions that can reduce the risk, somewhat.

For more info, the eBay Tips thread on the eBay forum has some good advice.

Could be.

Although, the whole Authenticate This! forum was closed, not just the thread, so it's pretty hard to tell what the cause was.

Exactly, l!

Actually, I was going to design some myself and have them made and then, hopefully, try to sell some of them.

But I haven't yet and even if I did in the future, they obviously wouldn't be in direct competition with hgbags!

JMHO.

I posted this on the Authenticate This Chloe thread, but I thought I should probably post it here, too:

Thought I should clarify that hgbags sold the fake Spy to the PFer about 11 months ago, so it's not quite as recent as I thought:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?... em=6876073691

Not that I think it makes any difference at all whether it took place last month, or last year, personally.

11 months is still a very short time and why should a seller that ever sold fake bags get our money, instead of one who never has?

Also, it is obvious that she can't risk selling many/any fake bags at the moment, especially to knowledgeable people (or people who she sees having their bags authenticated on this thread). Because, as hgbags admitted herself, she can't afford to get another neg. at the moment.

But how do we know that she won't build up her feedback score again and then start selling fakes until it drops back down again?

Answer - we don't.

We only have her word for it. The word of a person who, knowingly, sold fakes on ioffer and eBay.

There is more than enough evidence on one thread about her to have her prosecuted in a court of law and after all, for all we know, she is still peddling her fakes on ioffer and/or eBay, under a different name.

I appreciate that sellers can be scammed, too, but even if that happened to hgbags (which would be far easier to believe if she'd only sold one brand of fakes, for a very short time), there is no excuse for her passing the misery on to innocent buyers.

Rant over!

Gosh, so many posts I don't know where to start!

I agree with the whole ethical dilemma about buying from a seller who is known to have sold fakes on occasion: you are either an authentics-only seller, or you deal in fakes, even if they are interspersed with authentic items.

I also agree, CBH, with the idea that we should not buy from a seller who is known to be unreliable, for both our own protection and that of future (often less experienced ) buyers. I just can't believe all this has come out!

I also ALSO (!!) agree with pukasanqo's comments regarding grey areas, gambles and informed decisions. My experience with hgbags was just so positive that I wanted to recommend her to other PFers. Even after I read that thread, I was not convinced the accusations were reliable, as I did not see any strong evidence to substantiate them (by the time I read it, the links to ioffer had disappeared).

This is about as strange as the whole monaco-babe fiasco! Phew!

Oh Goodness, how embarrassing!

I'm a bit shy and I think I'd rather wait until I've had them made-up (if I ever do!), if you don't mind?

Thank you both for your enthusiasm, though!

I thought people might feel like that. It's a great shame that they're not up anymore, so everyone can see for themselves.

Oh well...
