let me assure you this bag is real :-) I do NOT mix fakes with authentics. I don't even have an active ioffer account. I have NEVER sold a fake Spy Bag, to a PFer either none the less. Please don't believe these rumors and hearsay. People who are very jealous of this business just can't seem to say anything nice!

if I had even known that she had sold a fake to someone I wouldn't have even considered bidding but it's too late as i've aldready bid.
anyways - she is offering to pay the my poupette fee - so that's comforting as well.

Who on earth is jealous?

The seller is responsible for ensuring that the item reaches the buyer safely.

Therefore, whatever she marks it as, you will be legally entitled to a full refund (of the purchase price) if it goes missing/is damaged.

Any insurance/compensation is to protect the seller, not the buyer.

However, due to the apparent unreliability of this seller, it is highly risky to assume that she will honour that legal responsibility, IMO.

I think she is a reliable and legitimate seller, since my experience with her has been great. I cannot speak for anyone else, but I would buy from her without a moments hesitation.

Nobody is questioning that she sometimes ships authentic items.

She has been repeatedly accused of mixing fakes in with authentics, to confuse - not of being an all-fake seller.

I have bought from hgbags and I have also recommended her a few times on this post. I cannot say for sure whether she mixes fakes in with authentics, but I can say that the bag I received is authentic. She is also a friendly seller and responds to emails (and any concerns) very quickly. She was quick to offer and follow through with requests for extra photos. She made a mistake in the charging and corrected it straightaway. I would absolutely without a doubt buy from her again without the slightest hesitation.

I hope this goes some way in allaying any fears that people may have, especially if they are waiting for items from hgbags to arrive!

^ Have you read the thread about her?

It is full of proven accusations about her. Unfortunately, the ioffer links no longer work, but in the past, I have clicked every link on that thread and can personally guarantee that they all linked to genuine pages with more than enough proof to condemn her.

If you don't believe me, just read the reactions of the vast majority of other members on that thread, as more and more proof was provided via the links.

I really don't think we should be trying to allay people's fears, much as I'd like to be able to.

The worst thing is that when one innocently buys and receives an authentic bag from her and leaves her a positive, one is, inadvertently, helping her build her feedback score back up, so that she can begin selling fakes to innocent buyers, who trust all the good feedback she has received, all over again.

I have read the thread about her and can't add anything negative. As I said before, i can't really comment on the whole fake/authentic mix-up, but I can say that in my personal experience, I haven't had any problems - to the contrary, all experiences have been fabulous. Anyone reading my recommendations should take them as exactly that - one personal experience in the context of many.

I bought from her before reading anything negative about her. In fact, i had never heard anything really bad until now, despite asking about her in another thread when I was thinking about buying! When did all this happen?

^ I think the thread might have been removed because unscrupulous people were using it target legit sellers... don't quote me though.

From the dates on the thread, it looks like it's been happening for a while!

Personally, I'd be too scared to buy from someone who has sold a fake, let alone several fakes. People like that have no morals or conscience and therefore don't deserve a cent from me. She could very well be changing her ways, but I work too hard for my money to be taking that chance. I could never want anything that bad...

Yep, it's the seller's risk. If the item does not arrive, the seller would have to claim insurance to get her money back. But as the buyer, make sure you pay by credit card!
