Chloe Pre-Order Fall Bags - Should I Wait?

Hi - I live in the KC metro, which means no Chloe boutique near me and my local Nordstrom doesn't carry Chloe either. After reviewing the Fall bags at LVR, I wonder if it's wise to go ahead and pre-order as I don't know if Chloe has a history of selling out new bags and then it's waiting lists for everyone (I know this might be the last of the old designer as Hannah MacGibbon has taken over) Should wait for Net-A-Porter or another site/seller to get the bags? Are the prices higher based on demand?

Any tips for a Chloe newbie regarding the sales of the Fall bags? From what I have been reading, people are waiting as fall bags from various designers pop-up, so I am curious as to whether it makes a difference (aside from the currency exchange rate).

What bag do you have your eye on? I think it all depends on the bag you want!
the other thing is that not all bags are available on all sites and in all regions.

Its very nice...I haven't seen this bag up for pre-sale anywhere else.
To be honest I'd wait a little...Chloe don't get sold out that fast anyways! And Chloe sales are absolutley amazing

You never know how hot a bag will be until the buying season for fall winter really starts. Plus, I doubt the major department stores got all their fall winter stuff yet! They are still clearing out on spring summer sales stuff.....

You should be able to get a better idea by the mid or end of July!

Thanks! I will take your advice and try some patience. I was reading through the old threads and The Purse Forum Blog and know what a craze the paddy's had back in 2005 and know people are waiting the fall bags, not that there seems to be a lot of buzz about this upcoming season, but you are right, I guess you never know...

I have seen this bag in different colorways at various websites. I think "Aloha Rag" has it already. lula - I am not too far from you in the St. Louis area and my Neiman's DOES carry Chloes. They haven't received any new ones yet but they will! Ordering from LVR can be extra expensive for us stateside gals what with the horrible exchange rate with the Euro and the import taxes. Check BlueFly for better deals as well - although Bluefly is more expensive than most. This bag is going to pop up soon everywhere. Do not worry about its being sold out although all it takes is for some happening starlet to wear it well and then sales would go through the roof.

Thanks, divnanata for letting me know about the STL Neiman's! You aren't far from me at all. I will definitely check out aloha rag. I went to my local Nordstrom and aside from some Coach, Marc Jacobs and a smattering of Botkier, that was it...

So, I appreciate all the tips I can get. Import taxes on top of everything else - I do not wish to pay -yikes!

As for starlets carrying the bag - already happened.

You should check out this link in the Celebrity Bags and Style. I don't think I fit the starlet mode though, lol...

^^I was just going to write the same thing about that thread, in fact, I think there is also another thread somewhere about the bag-- there has been a long search for the name of that bag Kate Bosworth was carrying, and there is talk of getting on the waiting list, so yes, the starlet has already created a buzz.

Reading through that thread, it was like reading about Seek & Destroy mission, but hey - if you gotta have a bag... For me? I have to really love a bag and think it will look good on me - regardless if some famous person is wearing it.

It's the first Chloe I have liked aside from the vintage Chloe bags I have seen around. I do wonder though if much will change now that Chloe has a new designer...
