Question Chloe Paraty Bag Help!

Hey everyone! I am becoming obsessed with the python paraty bag. I called the NYC store to get the price and they told me it was $3870.00

When i was on uk popsugar it said that the price of the python is £1780 at the Sloane St store..

So my question is would it end up being cheaper in the end if i ordered it from the UK? Would i still be able to get the VAT taxes back? Or would i get wacked with a huge duty bill? Sorry for all the questions, but i just want to figure out what my best option is.. i've never spent this much on a bag before

Thanks for everyones help!

Well according to www.xe.com the conversion would be $3237 and I woud expect to add at least 10% for customs + whatever your state tax is! so $3560 + state taxes + shipping and handling charges (including brokerage fees by shipping company).

But ofcourse you should double check the price popsugar qouted! sometimes they can make mistakes!!!

They wouldn't charge you the VAT at all if they are shipping it outside of the EU.

Sloane st. is in the UK and this sign £ is for the GP Pound so you need to do the conversion for the british pound.

maybe its best to call the store directly to get the price and figure out the VAT. if its 1780 - VAT= 1468 british pounds = $2670 USD...thats great!

UK VAT is 17.5% - so that may help you with your calculations. Just be careful that its ok to bring in the Python -

It could be that by the time you pay for the shipping etc., it may not be all that much cheaper. Have you tried AlohaRag? Not sure if they have the Python Paraty - but it could be worth asking.
