Please post authenticity questions related to Chloe in this thread. This thread is a continuation of the previous Authentication thread that has been closed for posting.

Should one of your items be questioned in this thread, you are welcome to provide additional pictures or materials supporting its authenticity.

Hello there,

I've just won a Betty on ebay. The seller has a good reputation and I bought some genuine items from her before. But after discovered that there are so many fakes out there on ebay so I got freaked out. Would you ladies help me authenticate this one please? Are there any red flags? I know some more photos might be needed and I will take a photo of the bag when I got it.

frangipani - Hi there - I'd certainly prefer to have seen more. Really would be good if you could post further photos when you receive her. The inner heatstamp taken straight on - I know we can see that right now - but might as well see it in conjunction with the rest of the photos. Serial/date tag inside the bag. The engraving on the zipper pulls more clearly. I'm not saying there is anything to worry about - its just better if we can see the detailing clearly - and we'll be happy to check her out for you when you receive her. Just post the photos and the original EBay link again - and we'll hopefully set your mind at rest.

I think we just sometimes panic after we win - and begin to wonder if there is a problem. I've just done that myself!

I am very upset as I honestly honestly believe this bag to be real, I have 3 real BBags, I have bought 2 fakes before (not on purpose, early on in my bag career!) so believe me I think I know what a fake is. This bag was given to me as a gift by a wealthy friend from Miami for my birthday, I really don't believe it to be a fake.

I will copy the pics here.. please can some authenticate this.

I honestly HAVE lost the padlock and there is NO serial number in the bag.

LillyLovely - Hi there - I've just responded to your PM - and would be pleased if you could supply the photos I've advised.

Based on these photos - which are basically what is on the listing - I can't authenticate this Saddle bag. The inner heatstamp IMO is too deep - but I've advised on additional photos and also on my point re serial/date tag and padlock.

Right now - given what I'm seeing - there isn't anything detailed enough to authenticate - and the heatstamp being deep and the lack of padlock and lack of serial/date tag also don't give me anything to work with. We must at all times err on the side of caution - as I've explained in my PM - and right now - I'd be doing any potential buyer a dis-service by authenticating this Saddle based on what I can see right now.

I hope that you can forward to me the additional photos - and information which I've asked. That way - hopefully we may be able to help you.

hi lescoy. Is there an equestrian line Chloe in a petrol blue colour - with a clip at the front , not a padlock as in the Paddington - like the Kerala. I'm not sure if the one i've been offered in a private sale is a fake or not. It has no serial number inside
