I don't know whether I am OK with using the bag as is, or return it altogether. I am a little uncomfortable that the damage is unknown and don't know what will follow as the lining and leather deteriorate further. I am inclined to return the bag for a full refund. I live in the US and the bag was from London so return shipping will cost me. Next time I will think twice before buying an item overseas.

Could you also ask the seller for pics of the padlock configuration, the inside of the handles, the engraving on the inside of the brassplate and hasp plate, this bag wont have a hologram, post pics back someone will be happy to help!!
