moodindigo~ the blue Edith looks good to me as well. This is a more rare Edith (at this point) so I don't see someone "stealing photos" and using them in their auctions then sending you some cheaply made bag. She's offering the NAP receipt which is good too!

Hello PF members! I need your expertise! I am new to this forum yet unfortunately this is my first post that is in the questionable Chloe category.

Last week during the BlueFly IT Bag craze, I could not resist myself and ordered the medium brown Chloe Silverado satchel. The $1200 bag was 20% off and so I thought $960 was a pretty good deal. I was so excited I kept checking the UPS tracking online to check on the latest delivery updates.

Well, I received the bag yesterday afternoon and I don't know if I am being completely paranoid (!) but there are some things about the bag that are kind of strange to me. I am hoping the Chloe fans, experts and owners can assist me in helping to determine whether this bag is genuine. This is my very first Chloe bag so I don't really have a point of reference or experience. I am a LV, MJ, Dior owner and I always bought from the original store or reputable merchants like Bergdorfs, Saks, Neimans, eLUXURY...This is my first BlueFly handbag purchase, and I usually have only purchased clothing and shoes from them.

When I first tore open the shipping box and touched the bag, the leather felt a bit too smooth. The pictures below actually showcase the bag better than it actually feels. I think it could be the lighting on the bag, but I can't really see lots of genuine leather marks. It could be perhaps because it is brand new, but is this normal? The second thing is that the two zippers in the bag, the exterior main zipper has "Lampo" stamped on the underside and below it the number "1". The smaller interior zipper does not have any name stamped on it but it is marked with the number "30" in really small font on the center of front of the zipper. It just seems kind of strange the zippers don't match in brand. The serial number on the interior pocket is "04-05-53".

The Chloe dust bag that comes with the bag feel very stiff and has two layers and feels like it has been starched too many times. I don't know, as I am clueless about how Chloe bags and dustbags should be, but all my other dustbags feel very soft and pliable. On the inside of the dustbag lining, there is a tab that has the company "Serman s.r.l. Albignasego (PD) www.sermen.com Made in Italy" printed on it.

I would appreciate all help, feedback, and comments about this Silverado. Luckily, BlueFly has a great return policy so I can get my money back if this turns out to be not an authentic Chloe.

I had and returned a tan Silverado. At first glance I thought your pictures were authentic but after closer inspection I'm going to say no. The leather looks too smooth and the straps that go around the bottom of the bag are not supposed to be the same color as the body. On my tan, the flap that goes over the top and the straps were a contrasting tan color - a little darker than the body. Not sure about the dustbag though.

Thank you Roey! You're right, the more I look at the bag it is indeed too even in color all over. I googled and found a photo of the large tan Silverado at Bergdorf's/Neimans website and the straps on the bottom of the bag looks like they are a slightly diff tone than the rest of the body.

Looks like I'm going to have to send the bag back to BlueFly...
