I just purchased a Chloe Paddington on eBay. From my understanding the lock keyhole on an authentic Chloe is right side up. The bag I received has the lock upside down. I have plenty of pictures. I am new to this thread and am trying to learn how to use it properly. If someone could help me out, I would really appreicate it.

BMB Yes, the lining is dark brown. I posted a link to the photo bucket which has some pix taken inside, too.
I see what you mean with the lock. I used my sewing machine screw driver to tighten the screws, but they were already tight. After further fiddling, it seems that the locking mechanism itself is causing the problem. By that I mean there is some play in the piece that should fully engage the metal arm once it is locked into position and that is causing the screw plate to be uneven. Make sense? I read a post that someone's lock fell out from the bottom, so I'll have to investigate further.

Thanks so much. I have the seller giving me a hard time telling me the bag is real. She wants me to get it authenticated at Chloe. The closest one to me is 3 hours away. I called and the store manager told me they do not write letters pertaining to authenticity. She is refusing to give me my money back. This is such a hassle. I should have known better. Thanks all...

IF you have already paid, when you receive the bag, you can file a dispute with paypal, if you paid via paypal. And email carol@caroldiva.com. She does handbag authentications, and does provide letters of non-auth which paypal will accept.

BMB & Ellie Mae Thank you for sending me the info on Padlock Repair: Anatomy of a Padlock and encouraging me to fix the lock. I'm happy to report the padlock surgery was completed successfully with no complications.
The problem: the two screws on the inner screw plate were very loose. I tightened them up and presto mondo--the padlock is now perfect.
