Authenticate This Chloe

chocolate chloe paddington, does it look real? i'm nervous b/c the seller doesn't have any feedback to review.

I don't think it's real, it looks too shiny and the handles look too square-ish! Although, I'm not an expert.
And the scratches on the padlock look horrible!!!

Awful awful fake! Hardware too shiny, leather is wrong, plus there is packaging still on it! (well known to fakes)

I did a side by side with my own Edith and these two things stick out with the stitching:

1) the stitching on the two front pocket belts looks different on mine. Mine is not that straight and there are 5 stitches, not four above the horizontal stitch.
2) there should be triple wrapped stitching on the sides holding the bag together. I only see two on this bag.

She did send me the serial number and hang tag number. Would that help authenticate the bag at all? She is going away for the weekend but said she would send me additional pics when she gets back.

Would these types of things ever just be manufacturer defects? Because even down on the Nordy salesfloor I have seen some things on their bags that even look different than some of the bags I've seen posted here.

Yes - I have read here that Chloe QC is not the greatest. It makes it even harder to tell what is real and what is fake.

Sunnydaygirl, Bergdorf's and Neiman's websites both have chocolate Ediths for $829.

It's much harder to tell an authentic Edith from photos than it is with the Paddingtons, IMO.
