May well be, but for me I would rather have all the pics in front of me to give a true judgment on any bag, as though I was buying it myself, the last thing I would want for anyone myself included is to buy a fake.

Other than the leather swatch, are there any other red flags? I want to be able to spot a fake! Thanks for your help.

Hi fryegirl from one pic you cant really tell much and generally the pictures that you require change according to the style of the bag. A good starting point would be the reference library, there you will see authenication points on a wide variety of bag styles. The zip pulls, padlock (on paddys), the heatstamps, the leather, the date codes and hangtags are usually good indicators!! Hope this helps.

True! I got caught out & bought a fake a while back just before i found this website & am still waiting for paypal to come to a decision, cos as well as it being a fake the padlock was broken & the seller had the cheek to accuse me of breaking it!!
My hubby won't let me get another bag unless i get refunded by paypal, but if i do i think i'll need to get him to part wiv more cash!!
Now if i see a bag i'm interested in i'd definitely get it checked out by you very kind experienced members of tpf!! Cheers Kelly

I am by no means a silverado expert... but I say the leather looks plasticky. Wait for another opinion though.
