PS Great idea Rowe

How are the prices?

The prices are amazing...but product moves very quickly there so you have to go in and check it out.

Thanks for this thread. So desperately needed. I can't believe some of the discounts people can get in America during sales. Unfortunately I can't be bothered with snotty boutique designer stores here in Australia so I guess I'll just have to visit my sister in America. I couldn't think of a better excuse!

DJ's in Brisvegas has only a small range and terrible prices . Why is it so hard to spend money!?!?!?! Also sucks having to buy things online without trying first to see if it suits and size.

The benefit of the "boutique" In Brisbane DJ's is that there is hardly ever an SA there, so you can try on all the bags as much as you like! Do check out some of the places posted in this thread though, they do have decent sales.

I still regret not asking for the Jean brown sale look book quick enough and missing out on the $200 AUD paddy wallets.

Hi ladies, quick question, hoping someone can help me out!

Does anyone know how to get a python bag into Australia? It's on the CITES endangered list, so it's restricted - is there any legal way for say a bonanzle python bag purchase to come into Australia?

I'd call customs but they're closed.

If you could lescoy, it would be amazing! I spent ages googling it and couldn't come up with anything, and the customs office here is closed for the weekend.

Would be really helpful for all the other Aussies to know too!

qwerty234 - Hi - I'll try and get an answer for you - and post as soon as I know. Its one of those strange ones - Python isn't accepted into some countries - but it may depend on how the Python arrives - i.e., if its a bag, shoes or the slithering variety...............

None of the slithering variety thank you! We have plenty already!

There's a snake that lives in our garden we think We see it slithering around the streets sometimes. They go quite fast!

I wonder if I could catch it if I could make a little silverado jacket to transform my silverado into a python one?

Just got to get that silly snake in one spot long enough....

Or I could just leave my bag out on the veranda and wait for the snake to investigate it by wrapping around it a few times, and see if I like the look first!

Woody posted in another thread that David Jones are having a sale - wallets are $345AUD. If they don't have any left in Sydney's DJs, get them to check with Brisbane for you Good luck

I received the following response about impoting a python bag to Australia:

"Thank you for contacting International Wildlife Trade with your enquiry regarding the import of a leather and python skin handbag.

Under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act), the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts is responsible for regulating international trade in certain specimens of fauna and flora products.

A permit is generally required from the Department to:
- Export specimens of Australia native plants and animals; and
- Import or export specimens derived from plant and animal species listed on an appendix to the Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES); and
- Import live specimens of plants and animals

The full list of CITES specimens can be found at http://www.environment.gov.au/biodiv...pubs/cites.pdf

All python snakes are listed on appendix II of CITES and as such would require a permit to be imported into Australia. If you will be carrying this item as accompanied baggage as you return to Australia from overseas you will only require an export permit from the country the item came from. If this item is to be posted or shipped, in addition to your export permit you will require an import permit from this department.

Permit application forms and further information on how to apply is available at - http://www.environment.gov.au/biodiversity/trade-use/permits/index.html

All wildlife items must be clearly and accurately declared to Customs upon arrival in Australia, otherwise inspection of the item may result in it’s seizure".
