hello, I'm a complete newbie to Chloe- i just got my very first paddington this month. everything seems fine, except on the bottom of the padlock, i notice the 2 screws aren't aligned. are they supposed to be? one is off to the left side of the rounded top of the keyhole , and the other is near the base of the keyhole towards the right.. sorry, if the description is kinda confusing, i'll try and post pics if needed. thanks!

Hi Zoomzoom... and welcome!
If you would please, post your pix on this thread here...
Authenticate This Chloe
and someone will be happy to look.

And this thread here tells you what pix you need to take for AUTH.
In Order to Authenticate Your Bag, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!!!
They do want to see all these pix in order to be able to authenticate the bag "overall" and to help determine what the padlock should look like. Padlocks vary by season/year, and by bag style.
Be sure to take a photo of the inner date tag.

AND.. if you have trouble posting your pix, here's yet another thread that explains about posting pix.
Posting Photos

In my opinion, uploading all photos to photo bucket and then simply posting a link to the entire album is the simplest thing to do... but to each his own.

Thought this may be helpful for someone, authenticators especially.

Comparison pics of my 2007 Blanc mini paddy and my 2006 castor mini paddy. Both have been certified authentic by the authenticators here. I'm the second owner of both bags, and the original owners advise that they were purchased at department stores.

Thought the comparison between the 06 and 07 would be helpful, as sometimes the different years have subtle differences. All pics watermarked for safety, but if the watermarks are in the way, PM me with your email address and I can send you the original high-res shots.

anusa - This is actually a Reference Thread and not really for questions - but if you have a padlock - then if you post the photo(s) in the Authenticate This Chloe - you used it earlier for an item - then we can check it.

It does depend on the padlock - the swarovski padlocks are different - but they are very very widely faked - and so I'd always advise having anything checked. The actual padlock on the Las Vegas paddy - which is the Limited Edition which was manufactured - should be the correct way up - i.e., tree at the top - accessory padlocks - swarovski padlocks were manufactured as accessory locks - can be different - but again - without seeing - its not possible to comment. What I would say is that if you are considering one - you are very careful - as they pop up on EBay quite often - and although I have seen a couple of authentic ones - the majority are fake
