Question APPLEGUARD vs CADILLAC for paddys?
Hi, i've been reading here that appleguard is a good choice for treating the paddys. The SA @ the boutique recommended the cadillac boot and shoe care to me. Has anyone ever used either? What results have you gotten and how often should I treat my purse?

I can only vouch for Appleguard. Excellent stuff. Read on the bottle for instructions but I think they recommend you only treat every 3 months or so.

Default How do you take care of your Edith?
Hi to all the chloe ladies out there!!

I just got an Edith and I was wondering if you can give me some tips on how to upkeep the leather. I asked my SA and she didn't know much about after care.

I remember reading some discussions about this but I couldn't find those now!

Your help will be very appreciated!

Uhm... I don't do anything to my whiskey Edith. She's been out in the rain and all that. And she's just as good as new. I do know someone had problems with their whiskey getting a watermark, but mine just evaporated and is happy as can be.

I do applegarde my bags in general and will do so for the Edith. I also am thinking of conditioning her, but frankly, she's so beautiful now... why mess with it?

As far as the grey, she's been sitting at home by her lonesome. I really need to take her out.

I have a grey edith too which I have yet to put anything on, I have used her countless times and despite being drenched by the sudden 'appearance' of sprinklers, she has recovered beautifully - you'd never know.

BalenciagaLove you need to take her out - I am sure she'd love a jaunt or two!

i have a grey edith as well, and i take the least amount of care with this bag simply because it doesn't need it. it's come to school with me for ap and sat 2 exams, has had sauce spilt on it in restaurants, and pretty much gets tossed around, and it still looks perfect.

thanks for the input gals! it's such a beautiful bag i want to maintain it in its best condition that's all. it was somewhat "sprayed" according to my SA so hopefully the protection will last for a while.

I have been contemplating returning my Chamois Edith b/c I am worried that it will weather really fast...being such a light color I am not sure if I should even be allowed near a light colored bag...so since everyone is talking about how to take care of their Ediths...does anyone have the light Chamois color?

I love the color, but I am scared to keep it...(another one I bought for myself!) HEHE

Thanks again,
Kristy (thompk)

My Chamois is arriving tomorrow from Nordstrom. I am afraid of myself and light colored bags - we might be like oil and water together - but if I love it enough once here I'm going to give it a try. I don't plan to treat it prior to taking it out. I have had good luck with Appleguard Leather Care removing light soil on bags.

Default Protecting Chloe paddy?
Has anyone here 'waterproofed' their paddy? I am thinking of purchasing some renapur leather balsam to treat mine after reading great reviews about it and also after a personal recomendation. But I am really worried that it might have an adverse effect on my paddy. I have one in tan and one in cream and I would appreciate if anyone has used this product to treat their paddy or has any advice.
Many thanks in advance. xx

I haven't used anything on mine except appleguard conditioner. I try not to get caught in the rain but carry a plastic bag in the zipper pocket just in case lol!

I have 3 Paddys, the khaki, anthracite and silver. I used the Shining Monkey spray on all 3 and I am very happy with the results. I have had the khaki in the rain with no problems. You do have lighter colored bags, so maybe some other PF members have some advise on those.
