Really funny! I also haven't sprayed any of my bags with anything and they've held up pretty well. I haven't taken Edith out though but I figured, if the Silverado hobo can take on the Bay Area rain (I put her in a plastic bag during heavy downpour though), I'm sure Edith can too.

^^Really? Several people with the whiskey Edith have already posted about watermarks - or waterstains on their Edith. That's what made me think I should take preventative measures!

I'm actually baffled by stains on Edith because the leather is similar to the Paddy. And the paddy's been rained on and snowed on and I've never seen any waterstains on it. I was more concerned with the silverado because it's lighter (tan color) plus the leather is different. But what do I know? Edith's been in her bag since she was delivered. I think she will make her debut when I go to the PF meeting in SF.

My Edith was rained on too, and she's absolutely fine! I think the quality of water that drops on her matters. In that whether it's something that ran off of something and collected debris or minerals, or just fell right out of the sky. I would have a hard time telling anyone that the air here is any better than anywhere else.

I know - I don't even eat meat! If everyone was like me, there would be no leather, because nobody would be prepared to kill an animal just for its skin!

I only get to carry leather bags, because other people haven't stopped eating meat yet!

blugenie and roey - I'm surprised that he loves it so much too! He made me try on different outfits and model it for him - he kept saying how classy he thought it was - and how much he loved it. At one point I was thinking of returning it (price freak out) and he insisted that I keep it. Of course this is only because he doesn't know how much it costs!

He's only a PHH because whenever I get a huge order of purse's in he's totally confused about how one woman needs so many bags. He IS into quality though - so in that way he's a PLH (purse lovin' husband)

^^See - I buy the bag first bring it to the house and work in it then I ask the PLH what he thinks.

If I were to show him a photo and ask him cold he'd always say the same thing: "it's okay"

hehe
