I haven't had any problem with the buckles or peeling or scratching but another thing I don't care for is somethimes when I hae the zipper all the way open it will come undone and I have to rezip it. I wish that it wouldn't come undone all of the way, I guess I'm just lazy.

Hubby said he would take a look at it and see if he could fix it, of course he will take it apart to look, so I haven't mentioned it to him agian.
I thought I was the only one!!! I actually took the lock apart, cleaned the inside and then put it back together and it still does the same thing. I never bothered going and asking them (Chloe) to replace the lock. You think they would?

You are not alone ... it drives me crazy when the zipper comes undone because I actually have to sit my Paddy on my lap to zip up the bag again. Now, I am very careful about not unzipping the bag all the way so I can avoid this problem.

I thought I would illustrate my solution to the zipper/lock issues.

In the first picture you can see that I have used the pull tab to cover the metal plate to prevent scratching; also, I leave this side of the bag locked and zipped at all times.

In the second picture I am illustrating how I am still able to retrieve items from the bag by always leaving the other side open, never bother with the zipper. I am pulling out in this picture a large Prada wallet, and I never worry about anything falling out of the bag, and I never have to fuss with the zippers. Less fussing less risk of scratching off the finish (which is impossible with the silver hardware; but might be good tips for you gals with the brass hardware.)

I also have a prob with my paddy..they peeling so easily. At the first week of purchased, one of the rivets peeling badly and its very shining. Now, I only worn my bag like 3 times, and I realized that theres a peeling in the lock area, now it turns a little bit like silver. Im just so scared if it getting worse! End of this month, I will go Paris again and repair this bag.But I still love this bag even the hardwares are bad..hehe

Loganz you're a genius! I haven't had any problems, but best to stop any before they start. I never thought of leaving one zipper undone! I sometimes locked the whole thing up - because I could just lift the flap and remove my cell phone. But the one zipper idea really made my day. Thanks.

If the lock continues to "pop" open you may have to contact Chloe to have it replaced (ugh, which I have heard is not easy).

Hopefully, the technique I illustrated will aid; I find it is so much easier than fussing with the bag; there is nothing graceful about carrying an expensive bag and then wrestling yourself to get anything out of it.

Interesting that many people keep their bags zipped. I just keep my zippers open and I find that the weight of the lock keeps the bag closed.

no paddingtons for Amanda.
Mine's been good so far (fingers crossed). That's so funny because my SA didn't like the paddie either. She kept saying it wasn't that nice of a bag, she liked the spy better. But I really like the style of the paddie, who ever thought putting a giant padlock on a bag would make it look so great. I like it because it is different. I can't wait to use mine (mine is the blanc color) because right now it is still snowing outside, I can't take it out yet.
