Just saw a bunch of Ediths at my NMLC and I'm intriqued!

Just a general question from a Chloe-ignorant person

, is the regular Edith still being seasonally produced (in new seasonal colors) or are the current Ediths all variations (like flap, bowler, etc.) of the original satchel?

Tx...just curious...

The current Edith's are variations of the 'heart pounding' satchel which is no longer being made. I got mine from a tPF person (red) my sister through eBay. Some NMLC have some at great prices mostly in the brown tones.

Today I saw an Edith for the first time IRL... I was astonished...
A couple of weeks ago I saw this lady dropping her children at the same English School my daughter attends in the afternoon... I noticed she was wearing a designer bag, can'¡t remember which, but thought it was bound to be fake...
Today I nearly fainted when I spotted her with a dark brown Edith... I waited for her when the lesson finished and pretended to be tending my toddler in order to have a closer look at the bag... I am not an expert, but it looked authentic...

My resolution weakened and I approached her: "Excuse me, is this an Edith you are wearing?"
"Sorry... Edith... What do you mean?"
She had no idea. She said her husband had got it for her as a special present but she didn't know the name of the style... I wonder whether she was aware that it was a Chloe...
Anyway, she was very nice and let me touch the bag and even carry it... Well, I think I actually took advantage of the situation and just grabbed it...but she didn't mind... she was just amused that her bag had driven me bananas...
Before saying goodbye, I pointed out I could do with either her husband or her bag in case she tired of any of them...

I am still shocked... what a nice bag... i need one as well now on top of the Betty!

Am buying a perfect Edith Satchel in Whiskey from a lovely friend, I can't wait!!! I've loved Edith from afar for donks and when this one came up outta the blue I just couldn't resist.

I'll have a wee wait of four weeks or so before she's here, but here's notice of my impending membership of this club in the meantime!

a pic from the sartorialist...
i've always thought the bowler to be way too big for an everyday bag, but it looks lovely on her! maybe because she has the advantage of height...
anyway, i think she looks very casual and elegant at the same time.

...now i want one!!!

The Rouge Edith Bowler is fantastic and works well for us taller ladies.
