I got my Tekla about a week and a half ago- the red shoulder bag. I used it for the first time on Monday and seriously came to tears because it BROKE! I have heard about the shoulder straps breaking so I was nervous and only put the normal contents I usually carry in my bag into it- wallet, planner, cosmetic bag, cell phone & charger, prescrib meds, gum, and keys. The only extra thing I added was a bottle of water, but this must have done it, because the strap pulled right thru the thin leather. I'm really so disappointed because now it will have to be returned. But, it is annoying that you can't fill a bag so huge with not much at all. I guess if it won't even fit those things then I don't need it anyway, but it's still sad.

So be warned ladies... do not try to put too much in a Tekla or you will indeed break the shoulder stap.

oh no! so sorry that your bag broke elle b...it's weird, it seems that the teklas vary in toughness. i think it was Angela H who said that she put magazines, water bottles, and all of her usuals in the bag and nothing happened. another girl used it as carry-on baggage and still it was fine.
but i am nervous about mine going to have to be extra careful..

Oh My! I am so sorry to hear that about your bag. I have heard people complain about that and different things before. I received my navy Tekla today and it is so soft. I really like it but I dont know if I love it? And now after hearing this I am having second thoughts cause I wanted to take mine on vacation and you know how you can fill up your bag then.

Just wanted to share with you that I took my Tekla on vacation a couple of months ago, put everything in it and she was fine, no problems, I really like mine. Not sure what the problems have been, but so far, so good with mine.

elle B - sorry to hear that your bag tore. Try to ask for a replacement if u still like this design.

shockey - glad that u rec'd yours. Do post it and also try to test it out if it works for u - ie, can it take the weight or not.

Mine just got shipped yesterday. I am hoping that it will be ok and not have similar problem.

sanity glad your bag shipped. porcelain I decided that the bag was just not for me so I sent it back. It was my first Chloe and I was really excited and the price was so good I didnt want to pass it up but I did find a Chloe Silverado for $563, hopefully I will like it better. Dont get me wrong the Tekla was a beautiful bag but not really something I would carry every day. Let me know when you both receive your bags.

Thanks shockey, I agree that the navy was a beautiful color, but the Tekla is not a bag that I use everyday, the Silverado is a better choice for everyday use. Hope you like it.

She said it was the smallest one. I called a Bloomingdales store in Florida. It was the last black one that they had. She said everything was pretty picked over beacuse they were having their extra 40% off, and it was already on sale. I should get it this week. I kept trying to get one from NM but I was always to late and I didnt want the large one.
