I bought mine from Neiman's in Orlando,FL, there was one more red one left. I deal with Carolina, she is wonderful, if that one is gone, she may be able to find you one.

Hi all, this is my Tekla that bought last year, i love it so much that i have to buy other things to match her, i like this style a lot more than others from Chloe, anyway leather is so soft and thin but very easy to get water spots and scratches.

Guys guys, QUESTION. Was Tekla ever made in white? I'm looking for a white bag right now. I thought I saw one last year, but I can't be sure.

Was wondering the same thing, there is one ending on e-bay right now - it is used, I think the bid is $475 or $495, I believe there are a few hours left to bid.

I just bought a brown and black from Neiman (they have it 40-50% discounted)...not sure which one to keep. A bit concerned about the marks and scratches possibility - did this happen to anybody else? I also have a feeling the bag looks like a travel bag - any feedback on this? Let me know ladies!

The Tekla is a large bag, I have the bordeaux color, couldn't decide whether or not to keep it originally, but I'm loving this bag. I did take it on a trip and it was perfect for that, but the bag is so soft and flexible, it's great for everyday if you like a big bag. I haven't noticed the scratches or watermarks that were mentioned previously, however, I am careful. I did get some water on it, but it dried and didn't leave a spot.
Hope you enjoy your bag, it's becoming one of my favorites!!

Talking Re: All about Tekla!!!

I am really wanting to buy this bag in the Metallic Black but online it says "brown leather trim" and I just talked with a customer service person from Neimans who said the black is all black...I also noticed some posts saying black with brown handles...can anyone clear this up for me b/c on Neimans pictures the Black does look all black... thanks!

I believe all the handles are dark brown, don't think I've seen one with black handles. The brown is dark, so maybe on the black it looks darker??

For people that have the large tekla with the shoulder strap...is it meant to be worn on one shoulder or like a messenger bag? Also everyone says slouchy, so would it not be sturdy enough for something like a lightweight laptop? Is it a good everyday bag for work? Still deciding...

thanks!

The strap can be worn either way, I'm 5'9", so as a messenger it is a little closer than I would prefer, but it does go either way. I recently traveled with mine and loved the convenience of this bag. I really like mine. I think it could accomodate a lightweight laptop. I had magazines and a water bottle, in addition to all the other items I normally carry, and it worked fine. I love the soft leather and sturdy handles.

Congrats on your Tekla, post pics when you get it. I agree it's a great sale. I bought mine at the NM store near me at the first markdown and I used a gift card, so I paid approx. the same price with gift card. Guess I should have waited, but I was afraid it wouldn't be around for the 2nd markdown. I think the Tekla is a timeless bag, it will look stylish for years to come.

(I would post pics of mine (bordeaux), but I still can't figure how to compress my pics to fit)
