Thanks Imogen !

In terms of size, I'm pretty sure that my Heloise is termed as 'Large'. There is a smaller version which is more like a regular handbag - basically half the size of mine with shorter straps.

That said, I have seen another Heloise on the BlueFly website which is also called 'Large' but it's a completely different shape (longer and thinner), just to confuse matters ...there's also a taller version that looks like it doesn't have a zip at the top, but I've never seen that one IRL.

The Chloe tags don't actually state sizes and generally Chloe colours and sizes can be confusing, but most of the girls on TPF that have Heloises have the same size as mine, which we all consider to be the 'Large' version.

Thanks GG. There are still plum Heloises to be had out there. If you live in London, I know they have them currently in stock at Libertys and Selfridges (I think Selfridges do mail order too). They also have them on www.luisaviaroma.com
Happy Hunting !

I believe the Nordstroms in OakBrook (IL) still has one Plum Helo left -- I don't know if it's the one I returned (I thought they were sending that to Michigan), or if its another one -- you could call them & ask them about it (the reason I returned it was because the bottom corner was irregular)

Thanks for that, I am having a wee stress over what size bag to buy, you might have guessed.
Do you happen to know where in London has a good Heloise selection at the moment? Or if anywhere still has any quilted bays - I am going to be there for work next week, so it will be a good opportunity for an ogle, maybe even a purchase. I think Selfridges carry Chloe don't they?

I was in Selfridges last week and they definitely had Helis in Prune, Or and several different shades in Vinyl ( didn't take much notice of those...vinyl for almost the same price as leather ?...and vinyl in general IMO).

Libertys also have the Prune in stock, possibly some others (might be worth giving them a call before you go as their Chloe stock is quite sparse at the moment ).

There are four other places worth checking out , although none of them are strictly in Central London ( they're all a short tube or cab journey away from Oxford St though): Harrods, Harvey Nichols and the Chloe boutique on Sloane Square all had Helis last time I was on a recce about a month ago and all these stores are within walking distance of each other.

The other place worth checking is House of Fraser which is in the City, nearest tube is Bank or Canon Street. They had quite a large selection when I purchased my Black Heli there a couple of months ago ( the Oxford St HOF don't stock Chloe unfortunately).

Happy Hunting - let us know how you get on .

I hope this will be the perfect bag for you!

I love my Heloise and have not taken it off since I got it!!

Yes, it is a bit heavy, but not any heavier than some other bags I own. I am a big bag girl, so every large bag I own weighs a ton.

I am practical and just go without certain items when I wear the Heli. Like, I don't take my mini brollie unless i am certain it is going to rain. In some bags, I carry the brolley all year round...just in case! This has not really been an issue yet as the weather is beautiful at the mo.
Also, I wont put my heavy make-up bag that is filled with loads of lipgloss I don't even really wear. I leave my ipod at home unless I am sure I will use it and my filofax, which I NEVER use while I am out and about anyway.

So using the Heli has lightened my load considerably, so the lost weight makes up for it being a bit heavy.

You will love our bag. I am not sure why I find it so fab...I just do! I am very close to getting my hands on another as well.

The one i got on hold is beautiful ...i really like this one more than the last one and im glad i didnt settle! The things you carry sounds like what i carry... i got a mj clutch wallet and coin purse which is a must for me. i dont carry a make up bag in general, filofax from time to time but if weights going to be an issue i can leave it when not needed.

so its
1 x wallet
1x coin purse
1 x ipod touch
1 x a book, thickness depends
1 x hand cream

I guess that should be ok...?

i love your one - the smooshiness and wrinkle-ness of your bag - that is what i want it to end up looking its fab! i really want to get a quilted bay as well but i found the heloise more special. the bay is on my list but it wont be a long while. are you still keeping your bay?

^^I keep changing my mind about the Bay.

In my Heloise I now have...

Mulberry wallet in oak
Keys
Oyster card
Sunglasses...I got a fantastic new pair from Mulberry last week! I have too many pairs!
Nivea lip balm
Nivea hand cream
Tissues
Pen (you never know!) It is a really cute Pylones pen i bought in Paris.
I drive, so unless I am taking the tube into London I don't usually have a book.

I leave out the items I don't really need.

Ooh i didnt know mulberry did sunglasses - i seen a really nice marc jacobs ones but i cant justify buying them as we dont have sunshine all year round and i tend to break the cheap ones.

i think the bay bag is such a classic bag..it would be horrible to sell it without trying it! you will never get what you paid for if you sell it on *bay after fees etc you should give it a wee try i love the summer colours in the bay

Thanks kerilynn for the help - i think i can handle the heloise, i carry the similar things as you! im going to get it after work! i wanted to buy it during my lunch but i dont want people to know my expensive addiction! especially on bags

^^Loving it!! I am a Heloise addict now and I want one in every colour! I saw on the Chloe site that there will be a snakeskin version!!

I am expecting a red Heloise soon thanks to a very lovely tpf member.

When I post photo's I will dump all my belongings out and do the same.
You should do a thread in the main Chloe forum "show us a pic of the crap in your handbag"
