^Speaking of dress shopping... I am waiting a bit since I am dieting and still have 20 months before the wedding, but I was telling one of my bridesmaids how excited I am going to be when I finally start shopping for dresses! She was excited for me and said she for sure wants to go with me, so of couse I said I would love her to come. Well, then she asked if I would mind if she tried on wedding dresses also! First of all, she is not even enaged, she just started dating someone actually! I was like "um, well youre not engaged, I think the SA's might ask about that..." and she said shed just wear a fake ring and wanted to do it! I really don't want to go shopping with someone else who is also trying on wedding dresses, that is not even getting married! How would you guys feel about that? I'm not gonna do it and I think it was kind of weird she'd even ask! I mean, I wouldn't even think about doing that if I was going along with my engaged friend!

^^ A little strange. Maybe she just likes the idea of weddings and/or trying on wedding dresses. I wouldn't be able to help but feel like she'd steal some of my thunder if she was trying on dresses too. So, I totally know how you feel.

SMR, hopefully she will forget! Or she will mention it to someone else who will tell her how tacky that is so you won't have to!

Does anyone have a wedding "theme" or certain colors or flowers they are planning on using?? I'm curious to find out other people's ideas...
I just know I want elegant and very romantic. Candles and flowers everywhere!! Hydrangeas are my favorite!

Hi SpoilMeRotten! Yes we do, we will be having it at the Luxor! Since the economy's bad we decided to do a small intimate wedding there! Have you picked out your dress yet? I got mine from Alfred Angelo's. You should check out their website! www.alfredangelo.com Mine's style #1136

Kris...your wedding is the day before mine!!! How special is that to share your wedding day, the same day as your grandparents' 65th wedding anniversary!
This is gonna sound funny but the way we picked our wedding date is....my fiance and I are big "Lost" fans and we both wanted our wedding to be not so close to relative's birthdays so we picked October but since none of the Saturday dates were "Lost" lottery #'s, we picked the 24th since "42" is a "Lost" lottery #! Yes...I know it's cheesy! LOL

Yes I am graduating in oct so i am trying to be super duper organised so that I am not stressing! Venues book up here 12-18 months ahead so i wanted to make sure I was organised!

Um outdoor ceremony (his suggestion) in a garden. And indoor reception, Australia is still in the wet season in april so i may end up with rain and need to move indoors so we thought it was best to do indoors reception and move ceremony if necessary.

Yes i have colours picked I am doing rainbow colour scheme so yellow, blue and pink!

What are your colours girls?

I think thats so sweet that your DF gave a suggestion of an outdoor wedding. A lot of guys dont really say any input on wedding stuff so I love it when a guy says anything! My DF suggested Hawaii because that's where he proposed. It meant so much to me that he chose it and also because the thought we should get married there because not only is it beautiful, but because it is sentimental for us.

No colors 100% yet. I think we may chose like orchids in purple and greens?? What do you ladies think of that??

If she was getting married, I'd understand.. But WTF, she isn't!! Don't let her steal your thunder!!

My Mom and I tried on dresses together once we're sharing the same dress.. That was different though, it was special to share that with my Mom.
