I haven't either, it sounds delicious though. I have had a fried snickers bar, which was wonderful, lol.

Mmm... twix, haha. My dad had a fried twinkie and it looked disgusting. He said it tasted like pure oil. Blech.

Wow, where is everyone?

I need help, I want to get my grandma something for when we visit her. She has gone from a hospital, to nursing home, to assisted living. And now she's where she'll be for a while.
I want to get her a present, or welcome gift of some sort. Here's a little background:
She's like me and my dad: she doesn't like socializing much with other people. If she doesn't need to know them, she won't. She's a bit scared, being in a new place, she doesn't know anyone, etc. The only thing she likes is bingo, which they have 3-4 times a week. She doesn't like reading, etc. and isn't too savy on new technology. But, I have a feeling she'll get bored there. She doesn't have a roomate (which both me and my dad decided she wouldn't want one). And I know I would get bored. So I'm trying to think of things to get her. My aunt already decorated her room with pictures from her house.
I'm thinking of getting her a potted plant, a picture frame with a picture of me and her in it. Now, what else?? I was thinking puzzle books, but I doubt she'd do them, plus I know some people already got some for her. Since they play quarter bingo, I'm also thinking about getting a few rolls of quarters and wrapping them with a bow. But I still feel like I need to get her something else to complete it. Any suggestions?

I think you should give her something that you've made such as pottery? They can be pretty sentimental and you can decorate it with things that describe your relationship, etc. Does she like to travel? You can get her travel books or somehting like that (like the ones LV has).. I know I like to do Sudokus when I'm bored so you should get her something that she will want to do in her spare time when she's bored :3

I doubt she would do sudokus. And she did travel but not much, she is fairly old, 83, and her mind doesn't work the way it used to. Puzzle books and sudoku might be too hard for her. I like the idea of a homeade thing. Maybe I'll make her a scrapbook with pictures of me and her threw the years.
I have tons of scrapbooking kits I haven't used. I just have to find pictures of us!

Go to a fabric store and pick out fleece for pillows. I did this for my great grandma and she kept them for years, she would even use them when she was in a wheelchair. I chose roses for her (her name is rose) and it meant alot. Pillows are so easy to make, and its such a nice notion she can put them anywhere and can say that her granddaughter made them.

Liyah - I'm not a bar louie fan but a lot of people like it!

As for fair food I love fried cheese, corn dogs, funnel cake, elephant ears, and fresh French fries. Clearly healthy!!

SO said he was gonna make dinner or we would go out I really want to go out lol.
