Good luck with the florists!!! I hope you are able to use one of the ones you're meeting with so that's off the list.
Do you have any ideas for flowers yet?

^^Thanks! I just returned from meeting another prospective florist. Unlike the other florist I met weeks ago, this one showed me her vision combined with mine. I'm visual so it was great to actually see what she was talking about...instead of sitting around a table and looking at my picture folder and their albums.

I'm planning on using a roses (of course), hydrangeas (my absolute fav), tulips, calla lillies, and carnations. I also want to use tons of candles. We'll see what the 3rd prospective florist has to say on my vision, and then I will make my decision.

Oh the flowers sound exquisite!!!!!
I'm using gerberas and cymbidiums in my bouquet (no filler flowers). I really want a very clean, fresh look, and that's what the florist reccommended. BM's are having roses, spider mums and gerberas.

jgkitty, i am sooooo excited for you!!! can't wait for the reveal!

needloub, your flowers sound so lovely!

i'm kinda at a standstill... trying to reserve our guest rooms at the resort, and it's been dragging... my wedding coordinator in bali has been great, but everytime she gives me answers over email, i have more questions, so it has been going on like this back and forth for several weeks.

well, something exciting did happen yesterday, i FINALLY BOUGHT MY WEDDING BAND! i don't know if you remember, but i had originally thought i would do 2 thin eternity bands sandwiching my e-ring, but after trying out that look for a few days, i felt like the bands were distracting and took away from my e-ring... so i decided to return the eternity bands and get a separate band with just 5 larger diamonds on the top (i will wear the wedding band and e-ring on separate hands)... initially i thought i would get asscher cut stones, but when i went to the jewelry store yesterday, the round brilliants were so beautiful... they appear larger to the eye carat for carat, and with diamonds that small, you won't be able to see the step cuts of the asschers anyway... so i decided to go with a 5 stone round brilliant wedding band!!! it needs to be custom made to my size, so it won't be ready until 2-3 weeks, but i am sooooo excited for it! it was so beautiful in the store, but it was too big on my finger so it's hard to visualize really what it would look like when it fits snugly.

Thank you carlinha! I saw your band in the wedding forum, and it is incredible!!!! It's going to look AMAZING with your emerald cut! I feel your pain with rooms...the hotels we're using don't block until 6 months out, and for a planner like me, that drives me nuts lol!!

I have been trying on eternity bands, but I can't seem to find the right combination. I even thought I would like a micropave band like my e-ring but I didn't like the combo. I want my e-ring and band to have a mis-match look, but look cohesive...does that make sense?

carlinha- congrats on getting your wedding band! i actually thought that sandwhiching your e-ring might distract from it bc it is so beautiful on it's own as it is.
i had a destination wedding as well and i think it might be easier for you to just call them to discuss everything and then get them to confirm it with you in writing. i have to say, having a destination wedding was fantastic, no stress for me at all! which resort are you haing it at?

jgkittymom what a lovely dress.

coconut your photos are lovely! Love the red with the dress.

Wow carlinha that's a big change. I loved the double bands but I can understand how it could be distracting from the e-ring. Can't wait to see the new ring! It sounds stunning. So will you wear the wedding ring on your right hand?

i totally get it needloub! it's funny because i see how different people's erings and wedding bands are, and i love the look of small/thin eternity bands with the e-ring, so that's why i always envisioned it like that for me, but i dunno for some reason after having it for a few days , i just wanted it back to the simplicity of my e-ring alone.

have you tried eternity bands with different shaped stones (baguettes and rounds, rounds and squares, etc)?

coconuttiger - a destination wedding is great, and so far it has not been stressful to me at all! i love how mostly everything is already taken care of... right now the communication could be a little faster but i am not stressing about it because i have close to 11 months left. i am glad i am doing it early though, because if i had a little amount of time, i could see it getting stressful. i am having my wedding at ayana resort & spa in bali
http://www.ayanaresort.com/

lilmissb - yes i know it is a MAJOR change! i never thought i would have a wedding band like this, but i guess you just have to try out different things to see which looks best. i just love the plain simplicity of my solitaire e-ring and i felt like the eternity bands next to it were taking away from it... i think i will wear the wedding band on the right hand, i had it sized for my right hand anyway... but i may switch it to my left hand, and wear my e-ring on my right hand... the only problem is that my right and left hand are different sizes (left is 3.5 and right is 4), so i would need to resize them if i did that...
