I am always the first up on Christmas day and I brew the coffee and make gingerbread muffins, then I wake everyone up by announcing that "Santa Clause has been". This year will be no different and I will proceed, as usual, to cook a huuuge traditional Christmas dinner comprising of: Roast pork,(brined) Turkey, Ham in Coca cola, (not traditional but fabulous) Semolina roast potatoes, marshmallow-topped sweet potato, parsnips with maple syrup, brussell sprouts with pancetta and chestnuts, homemade cranberry sauce, apple sauce, plum pudding with custard and cream.
My husband and children laugh at me because I cook too much and I still make my children write a letter to Santa even though they are 18 and 20. They only do it to humor me but I don't give a cr@p, I love Christmas and they have to love it too... well, they do if they want any presents...

Wow dallas you have a really lovely Christmas dinner can I come?

My dinner just consists of prawns, chicken satays, fried rice, pavlova, trifle, nibblies and too much champers. I am too lazy to cook!

Do you ever feel dejected straight after opening the presents at Christmas? Not dejected because you don't like your presents but just dejected because the build up to Christmas is over? Maybe I should stop being a big kid at heart.

Of course you can come. There's plenty of food. When my daughter sees what I have written here I know exactly what she is going to say "So mum, you've resorted to begging people from the Purse Forum to come and help us eat Christmas dinner".

Wow Dallas, sounds great.

We're getting some cooked prawns, lobster & crab and taking it to a park with a bottle of champagne.

No cooking for me this year! Woohoooo!

I am being forced by my mother to help cook Christmas dinner (she wants me to take over cooking duties completely) and then we are all going to Balmoral Beach.

Well I'm working on Xmas! haha I've been doing it since i was 12 so it's become my own family tradition. We end up having the conventional Xmas on boxing day. It's our fashionably late version haha!
