I love the ivory and I think it's more versatile than the other colors. Of course there is always black to consider; although that's not a color you listed.

Ooh.. just got an email from Saks SA.
There's also the black with silver hardware E/W available. I'm not sure if its caviar or lambskin yet.. will have to talk to him later. Also, not sure if its the single/double chain or new/old chain... If the black is available too, you think i should go with it? My thought was if i needed black, I could borrow my mum's classic med flap. But i guess black does go with everything... |

Dark silver is a rough metallic leather. Hard to explain, but I like mine! I think it's the most "evening" type bag out of the choices. |

I have the black e/w and just adore it! I think it's the perfect evening bag, and the color goes with practically everything in my wardrobe! But I also love the navy and metallic ones; they're great neutrals too!

i love the navy but you said "mostly for evenings" so if it were me i would pick the silver and you could still dress it down with jeans.
navy would be difficult to pull off for evenings unless you wear very little black. JMO. |

The dark silver hands-down IMO! The colour is gorgeous IRL and not too blingy at all...and the leather seems very durable. I also think the dark silver colour would be the best colour for an evening bag and would be much more versatile than the other colours you're considering. I have the dark silver e/w flap and can dress it up or down.
Just saw your post about the black caviar e/w - you can't ever go wrong with a black Chanel flap! So I would personally vote for either the dark silver flap or the black... ![]() Good luck with your decision!!! |

Thanks all... I really appreciate the overwhelming response.
![]() I bit the bullet and ordered the navy E/W as well as a black medium classic flap for my mum at the Saks EGC event. Looking forward to receiving the gift card! More shopping perhaps? ![]() Jill, wish I could afford 2 bags like you! I am lusting after one in caviar for everyday use. Maybe if I find one cheap on Ebay....... Sharbear, good to know that the silver isn't too blingy. Saw it on Ebay though...and i'd rather make use of the EGC event to save some $$. I agree with you that the black is a timeless classic. I will probably go with a black bag next! (Hopefully there will be a next time )
