I did however get requests from other blogs to share my collection and be interviewed.
i saw those comments and i thought it was really just sour grapes! you could feel the jealousy and envy emanating from those posts!!! i think you have such a fab collection though!!!!

Regina, you said you're in school, yes? I'm just curious -- what do your classmates and friends think, or roommates if you have them?

Just judging my the many nasty comments on the blog, I wonder if you've gotten flack in real life. I hope not!

Cheers to your collection!

I believe she's an established investment banker (or similar profession) for many years and saved up quite a bit to collect such fabulous collection.

Funny, when I read the quote below I thought she was a student. SO is in finance so maybe I'll ask him if "finals" means something other than school-finals.

Annie, Regina posted another thread about her bags and some info about her personal life: 65+ ... possibly 70

yes, I bought all of this in the past 15 months. Question my sanity if you must, but not my finances! I work in private equity where the compensation is ..., um, OTT by most standards. Until Chanel, I played it safe -- investments, rental properties, retirement fund

No, not in school. I took extra coursework to sit for the CPA exam after 15 years in finance. So I was your usual -- work-by-day accountant/controller, study-by-night 'mature' student!

Most of my friends think I was a tight wad for far too long and everyone hopes they're receiving handbags in my will!

Uh no flack in real life. The women I work with and wives of the men I work with wear/carry only the best (aka most expensive). I timidly entered the Chanel pool by buying vintage and/or eBay first before buying new!!! Now the wives are encouraging me to 'grow up' and buy H. DON'T THINK I'M READY for THAT POOL.

Sorry Regina. I though I read you were an investment banker or something similar. Looks like I'm wrong.

I'm a controller for a private equity firm ... we like to think of ourselves as 'rescuers of failing public companies' while getting rich in the process!!! Capitalism at its best.

I'm a CPA myself but chose to be a new homes sales agent. I guess numbers and auditing wasn't my thing after working in public accounting for a few years. Good luck on your exam.

Finally! Someone who understands the sad sorry world of accounting! I never wanted to do public accounting but love partnership accounting and financial modeling hence private equity....hence funds for my Chanel addiction. Once you cross the Chanel line, it's so hard to cross back!

OMG... I can't believe I missed this thread (and your A-M-A-Z-I-N-G) collection until now! You are seriously my idol, Regina LOL! I'm trying to get enough hours to sit for my CPA exam too, and now I'm hoping that eventually I can be like you and have a collection like yours!!

Nope, I don't think I'll ever tire of buying Chanel. As I've said before, vintage is my big love and I'm sure there are lots of styles from those years I can collect.
