Will Perforated Metallic Calfskin Flap Bag Fade?

Hello CHANEL lovers! Please input your opinion. Do metallic colors fade over time? I purchased the perforated metallic calfskin flap bag in black (shiny black) A37560 and is worried that it might fade over time. I wont be using it daily, only on special occasions but i do want my chanels to last. I am also eyeing out the calfskin flap bag A38465. I think they are both adorable. What to do??

It's honestly too soon to tell with the metallics, as Chanel only started doing this type of metallic leather recently.. Some people have already experience fading and color change with metallic leather made by Chanel. Other people have had no problems whatsoever. I think it depends on a number of factors: how often you wear your bag, how you store your bag, the climate where you live, what color metallic you get, etc etc.

I have been going nuts trying to explain to the Chanel rep that this bag comes in black! She insists no, its the large one only in black. Oogly, can you please, please tell me what color the hardware is? I am trying to describe it to her over the phone. Is the ring gold and the chain silver? Thank you so much for any help anyone can please give me. I am a desperate woman in search of this bag in black!
