Think more, buy less

Well, the classic wouldn't be a classic without its interlocking cc's, right? While I am not a fan of visible logos I think it's part of the great design of the classic flap that without it wouldn't be the same & not as timeless.

The reissue is some kind of a futuristic classic in my opinion. Verdy edgy, as previously said. And personally I think it's a lot more versatile than the classic flap and can go with so many different kinds of styles, it's power is still underestimated.

The classic often makes a style while the reissue complements it.

*lol* does anyone get what I mean?

Sounds like I don't like them equally, but I do

I like both styles for different reasons. The mademoiselle lock is the original style from the 50s. I like that the reissue is a tribute to Coco Chanel's genius, creativity and style. And the fact that some of us consider it 'edgy' cements how timeless it is.

On the other hand, I love the vintage CC -- the large oversize ones - on the classics. Definitely a sign of Lagerfield's genius, creativity and imprint on House of Chanel! He brought Chanel into the modern age yet still kept it classy & elegant. And a perfect combo of form & function because unlike other logos, the CC serve a purpose!

I love the large reissues (227). I prefer the all-metal chain, love the MM closure, and love the double flap. Even though there are about the same number of pockets in the Jumbo Classic Flap, I just feel that the reissue keeps my things a bit more organized. The length of the chain also works better for me, and I feel that the style of the bag suits my wardrobe more.
That said, If someone were to hand me a classic flap. I wouldn't say no It's still a gorgeous bag!

I have and love both styles. I find that the turnlock on the CC works a bit easier for me personally. Especially when I have my toddler on 1 arm and I'm trying to open my bag with the other hand. I think the CC is very discreet and elegant and not at all ostentacious. And I'm usually not into logos either.

I certainly agree with you that Chanel CC logo is unostentacious, finely wrought and served with a purpose article.

I have the new "edgy" lock and it is by far much more discreet compared to the CC however at the same time it's a difficult lock to maneuver with one hand especially when you're trying to shut it...opening the lock is easily done with one hand, but when you take the 2.55 (with the addition of a wallet, tissues, mints, perfume, keys) it just won't shut easily unless you use both hands.

I think the CC is gorgeous, but on my purple metallic 2.55 the non-CC lock is perfect.

I haven't have any reissue yet because I prefer the classical look.
When I have spare cash, I might consider getting a reissue.

I prefer the classic over the reissue due to the easy maneuver of the cc turn knob compared to the mademoiselle lock, which represent a big challenge when I'm in a hurry to get things in and out of my bag. The cc turn knob is also quite discreet and definitely not loud at all.

i love and have both but in the end i think i love my reissue more because;
1. i love the chain, it has the right length to my body, and i prefer this to interwoven chain
2. i love the distressed leather on reissue
3. i love the dimension on the reissue (more lengthy on the left to right) compared to jumbo, its just compliments the body more (as i seen on bullettproofsoul purple comparison)
4. i love the history of this bag about how coco chanel created this to hide her love letters etc.

but with all these, i think having a classic chanel flap with cc's lock is a must have =) u should go for it! let us know what u finally decide!

basically chanel flaps and reissue is pretty understated bags, with CC and MM locks ... but anything metallic will pull more attention i guess

get a jumbo, the cc is not that big, just right with the bag

: I like people know what they are getting from buying a bag. I usually realize that later after I bought it and carries it for a while. But I definitely won't buy (keep) a bag I don't like.

Yap, you should. When you save up for it.
Reissue is just like everyone else said, it goes with any outfit. Causal, funky, dressy, elegant, .......... it is a low-key glamorous without the CC.
