Default Westminster Pearls

Has anyone purchased either bag from this prefall collection. There is a tote and flap. I am waiting for mine, but might be getting cold feet? I never actually saw it in person.

I thought you went to the trunk show and tried it on? I remember your comment about being surprised about metal chains mixed with the pearls.

Has anyone bought a Westminster Pearls bag yet? I'm curious to check out some action shots because I'm considering getting either the flap or the tote.....

I went to trunk show but I only saw the flap in the pearls. It was pretty but I am probably the only one in this forum that does not like flaps. I ordered the tote and I am waiting to receive it. It should be arriving any day. I thought the tote was a little different, I was just concerned the pearls and chains would get tangled, but someone mentioned you can let the pearls hang down. I guess I will have to play with it. Unfortunately I am not good at posting any pics, but I will give full description.

My other purchase in the Sloane Square, which I love. So comfortable.

I tried the flap on and I find the strap to be way too short. I was wearing a light shirt and it won't fit on my shoulder. It is very pretty though. I haven't seen the tote version yet.

Tote & flap are so pretty.

I saw them both in NM trunk show and amazed by the soft leather.

However I feel the chains might be too fragile.

It's definitely not an everyday bag, but I would wear it at night with jeans and casual shirt. I don't really think it's anymore fragile than wearing delicate jewelry, and at that price I would hope Chanel would make it strong enough to use. It's not large so you can't put a lot in. I will let you all know when I get it if I still love it.

I've heard from my SA that the flap is really tiny and so he said that the Tote would be a better choice. My only worry is that the pearls around the handle might drop (in light of the bad workmanship discussion) or the hanging pearl strap might not be sturdy enough. Also, the larger amount of lambskin used on the bag might mean a larger surface area for scratches!!! EEKS!!!! And for that amount of money, I want something that won't "die" on me so quickly.... heh.

I like the flap but I would be afraid to carry it.... Also I heard it was 3995USD... Which is not the choice fro me because I'm somewhat accident-prone... HEHE

I am not worried about the fragility because it's not everyday bag. I just don't want to play with a bag to be able to carry it comfortable, so I will see when it arrives. Unfortunately I don't know how to post pics. It should be here anyday, it is prefall.
