How many waitlists are you on for the cruise bags? I just found out some of the bags came into Saks, but my SA may have screwed up what I had wanted. Now I am a little worried I won't be getting any bags, and I don't know what to do. I am waitlisted at Neimans and Nordies, but for different bags.
So girls, fess up How many waitlists do you normally put yourself on in order to guarantee a purchase? |

As many as possible, so that there is a chance that I get the bag I would really like! Don't worry if you are on loads and hope you get the bag you'd really like!

Do SA get mad if you don't buy the bag from them? I was worried about that.

I personally did not put myself on any lists doubly because I will have a hard enough time turning any down in case I decide I don't want a particular bag in the end when the results are in
And I was sure I'd get at least one bag I want by putting half down at Hirshleifers. I am down for a few bags at one store where even as of today I saw my name at very top of list for two of the bags--the two I am pretty sure I will buy, the others the SA was like come on let's just put your name down and I'll tell you when they are in--and I know they have not come in so not worried there. (One of the lists I added my name to I could be interested in as an alternate... red caviar jumbo! But that was a last-minute additions so I am pretty far down on the list... but not too too far so without any funny business it would be possible that others turn down bag in favor of another or on mulitiple lists or just changed mind I'd get a chance. Not betting on it though.) Nor am I worried about a third that I have been in touch wtih SA over and feel is definitely going to come through--and I am impatiently waiting for that one! But there are 2 lists where I have no idea and actually as time has gone one I have fallen a little out of love with those two bags so I wouldn't be too bummed not to hear positive results (but maybe I should swing by the store and spy on the inventory just to see Nah) Anyway, long way of saying it's not so much about SA being mad but they should also be honest with me where I am on a list... so it's a two way street. If you are low down on the list and it's unlikely you will get it and both of you know that or something then heck yeah put yourself on another list... or two... so I kinda think that's the answer. Ideally there would be good communication. Esp when there is such interest and the bags are limited. And in any case because these bags apparently will be flying off the shelves I do not think the SAs are going to be too mad when they sell it easily to the next person. But I would feel bad whether or not SA feels mad in certain situations....

They SHOULDN'T get mad, but I know some do...
I also heard from some people that they've put themselves down on the waitlists, and they were charged for the bag without actually purchasing it! Some SA's nerve, I tell you... |

I'm on a waitlist at NM for the blue caviar. I've used my NM SA exclusively so she almost always gets me what I want. Hirshleifers is probably the best system because you have to pay half down so your guaranteed a bag when it comes in. I've been on multiple lists before and it's really no big deal. Sometimes it's the best way to guarantee you get the bag you want.

I've never really done a mail-order/been on a waitlist for a highly-coveted bag before, so rather silly question here: when an SA tells you that you are first on the waitlist for a particular bag, does that mean that you will get your bag first, or is that a figure of speech?

Is there going to be a waitlist for the cobalt blue? I'm just wondering....since I'm not on a waitlist, will I actually be able to get one?
