I always travel with my bags when I go places. This summer in Paris I brought my Alexander Wang, Balenciaga City, and Classic Flap. I'm not a worrier, everything was perfectly fine. You want to be stylish while traveling too not just at home! lol

I was wondering the same thing, whether I should travel on a plane with a rolling carry on and my caviar Maxi or In Business flap. I don't like the idea of my Chanel getting knocked around through security.

Whenever I take one of mine on a trip, my mother has a panic attack and I get a lecture about it. I think its funny, I bought it to carry it.

Flipdiver, get an envirosax or any foldable bag and put your precious bag in it during security / xray checks. I've been doing that or a while now.

Just make sure you pack your bags in a carry on. I travel with a few bags all the time no matter what the destination. I tend to bring less when traveling abroad though

I agree with Sininja, i always pack them in my carry on. never checked in.

on this recent trip my flight was late so i had to leave my checked bag so i can catch the connecting flight. i would have cried if i had checked in my precious bags. I just took the flight and my checked bag was there the next day.

I have no problems taking mine on vacay w/i the US. I use my lesser bags internationally, so as to not attract as much attention. Regardless, just be aware of your surroundings. Irvine - no problem!

I just bought my first Chanel and call me paranoid but I am afraid to take it on say a weeks vacation only because I am not sure it would fit in the hotel safe in the room and I would not be comfortable leaving it in the room knowing how much it cost. Am I being a baby with my new bag?

no i dont but i saw japanese ladies carrying their jumbo or maxi for the Paris trip. looks cool to take pics with their Chanel lol

i have a checked in lugguage and i think my SO will scream at me for bringing an extra lugguage because we have one big luggage each. i dont think i can handle another one.

i read abt how the ladies will bring longchamp and put the chanel in it to go through the xray scan. ...
my jumbo caviar is kinda 'weak' that the quilt has kinda flatten with minimal usage and i dont press on it etc when i wear it. so to bring this lousy weak jumbo over for travel.... i think i better bring my LV or Prada that can get knocked etc.

I think you worry too much. bring it out with you. i dont put expensive items in the hotel room when i am outside. but of course during my paris trip i have to leave my 'freshly bought' chanels in the room with everything intact. not locked. i cannot get it into my lugguage. a 3stars hotel and i am lucky they are intact lol

Laneige - I am like a mother with an only child very cautious because she is a new and I have been waiting a long time for her believe me giving birth was easier then getting this bag lol. I am uncomfortable even in a 5 star resort being on the beach all day leaving my chanel in the room. If I was ever lucky enough to shop in Paris I would leave my purchases with the concierge if they did not fit in the safe.

oh definitely. Have fun on your trip! Maybe you'll end up with a new one from SCP (pretty close to Irvine)!

I have travelled with my jumbo all over Europe and my GST and LV all over North America and feel confident using them. If by chance I do need to leave my purse in my hotel room - I put it away in the safe (if it fits!) or I hide it away in the depths of my suitcase...although I must admit as soon as I get back to the hotel I rush to check that its still there!

At first I was hesitant to travel with them but then I would see other women rocking their purses and looking fantastic when travelling! I was like wait a minute - I have the same thing at home and it shouldn't be just sitting in my closet! So, I eventually worked up the courage to make the most of my purses

It sounds like you will be travelling to a safe place so enjoy your lovely GST!!

definitely! Enjoy taking it with you. I always travel with a CHANEL bag, though I prefer to carry it on board with me. I even took my lambskin classic on a recent spa holiday. I only used it in the evenings, but it was great having it. For sightseeing trips I ve got a sweet little vintage messenger and for skiing chalet trips I use this one, I do not think it has a name...
