I am going to do it! In the next few days I am going to buy a black Caviar Flap (probably in Large)

I CAN'T decide if I want gold or silver. When I checked them out at NM, the gold caught my eye. Its sooooo classy. But I like the Silver looked unique as well. I LOVE THEM BOTH!!!!!!!!!

I wear more Silver/ white gold jewlery everyday. Then sometimes on occaison I will wear yellow gold. It all depends on my outfit ofcourse.

I would like this bag to be everyday, going out, night, dinners, formals......if I am paying this much for it, I would like it to be everything !!!!!
I am more inclined to get the gold HW. I don't know about my jewlery though. I guess there is no hard and fast rule. I am not about to get one of each , so I can match my jewlery!!!!!

What color are you getting your caviar in? I think that matters as well :)

If you are getting it black, get white hardware
If tan, then get gold
If white, then you could do either and should do white since you use more white jewelry

DOH!!!! I forgot to say: BLACK! I agree the Black with Silver is gorgeous. Does it make it less dressy though? I want to carry that baby to semi-formal dinners.

personally i prefer the gold hardware with black leather and i don't even think about it matching my gold or silver jewelery. those bags stand out on their own! you'll just have to wear your usual jewelery and check both bags out in the mirror at the boutique and see which one you find more pleasing to the eye.

I like the gold hardware. Gold and white gold or silver necklaces are being worn together, bangles are being worn together in both white gold and gold and now the biggest thing coming out is the peachy color pinkish gold, also to be mixed with white gold., so if wanted to, just get a couple of pieces of jewelry in the twotone, like earrings and a couple of bangles and you will be fine.......

Look through your wardrobe to see which color combinations you have most of. I have the black with gold and find it goes with everything.

Yeah good point, The gold HW is chanel. When I tried both on, the gold stood out. I'll have to test them again before I finalize. The problem is my PHH is coming with me, and he is NOT much help.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had a live camera hooked up to the PURSE FORUM where we can try on bags and say: " Hey gals....what do you think??"

if I buy a black caviar I would buy one with silver coz it looks younger. Gold hardware seems too mature on me.

LOL it seems like a split decision!

I would vote for silver - I think that's classic hehe

and the gold hardware would just look a bit too weird for me (at least on a black caviar... maybe if it was lambskin, ummmm).

For me it would matter on what jewelry you wear more of.. I love plat and white gold.. thats what alot of my jewelry is.. and i would go for silver hardware on my bags
