From my "study" over the fast few days, I saw many small ones, but only one medium sting ray, in the white. The small is $5,100 and the med is $5,800.

I am "studying" the BOYS too, LOL bethc .....and I am feeling that for my height and structure, and it's casual use, a medium would be more appropriate for me! Does everyone feel that BOYS are more casual and edgier than the traditional flaps?
I hope mediums come in some color options other than the white!

Hi pursebop, Bethc is right on the prices of the stingray. There's a full array of colors for the medium size. The small stingray does not work for me as it's really small. I've seen a white, grey and black medium stingray so far. My favorite would have to be the python one. It's ornate and just a piece of art!!

In terms of durability, I guess something that I wouldn't have to be super careful about getting scratched so easily.

Probably smooth calf from the original version, or the stingray. I only have the smooth calf version and while it's by no means delicate, it did acquire scratches after regular use. Because it has a smooth surface (same with matte patent), the scratches are more noticeable but only if you focus your eyes on them. I've been told that the stingrays boys are supposed to be low maintenance but I don't have one to comment on after periodic use. Metallic lamb seems comparatively more scratch proof when I compared the regular lamb quilted with the metallic lamb quilted because of what appears to be an extra coating.
