Several LV's for 1 Chanel?

wow this is an old thread, anywayz i was contemplating that as well...but i just love how LV canvas (damier mono) are soooo maintenance free. so instead of selling and buying, i decided to save.

Being selective to your bags will make you value rest of your bags even more.
I sold my old LV (they are really in MINT cond.) for new Chanel bags. And I never regret!

I think it is def. worth it.

I know this thread is old, but this is a struggle I've been having these days...

I used to have my sights set on LV, because there were no Chanel stores near me, but ever since tPF, I've been lusting after Chanel more than LV

...but when I think I can have 2 or 3 LVs for the cost of 1 Chanel it kind of makes me sad...

I know I would regret selling my LVs to fund one chanel. I like CHanel's bags (some styles) but I don't like them enough for the money. That whole "timeless" thing - I don't get it, isn't LV older than Chanel therefore, more timeless? I don't think I would get enough enjoyment out of a bag knowing that I paid as more for a basic Chanel than I paid for an exotic Gucci. It's a tough call, I guess...

First of all, thanks for this thread! Ive been thinking about selling some bags to get a Chanel Jumbo Flap (Black Caviar with SH!) but i've always been thinking what if I sell my bags and get the Flap, then regret it?! The bags I have are pretty much my style, and look great on me, but I've always lusted for that Flap! Ugh, I tried it on cross body, and all the SA's in the store were telling me to get it! haha. Two things stop me basically, the funds! and the fact I am a guy, I dont want Coco Chanel turning in her grave at the idea of a guy wearing one of her bags haha.

How much do those go for anyways!?

I too btw am like Jessi, I loooooooooooooooved LV, still do, but like I see them everywhere! I want something new, I've never had a Chanel bag yet! But its like for one Chanel bag I'd have to give up like 5 of my bbags, LV bags and stuff you know?

I would just to add variety to my collection.
I only have a LV pleated monogram denim, washbag, wallet and keyholder now.
