Hi does the jumbo seem too big for your height? How tall are you btw? I want to get a jumbo so I want to make sure it isn't TOO much for my size. I would keep the jumbo if I were you though. It'd be harder to be able to afford it later on because I can't justify spending over 7g for it lol

Sell the jumbo if you are not using it/loving it. I sold mine recently online as it sat in my closet for two years with the tags on it and I never used it. I purchased a GST instead and love it!!

Keep it!!! It's Black caviar with SHW, you maybe will able to use it later. You won't able to pay the price you paid for in the future. I'm in the same situation. I have 2 Jumbo, one in Light Pink lambskin and one in White caviar. I hardly use my Lambskin one and it've been sitting in my closet for months too. I usually use my White during summer. It fit lots of stuff, sometime even an umbrella.

I am 5'1" and nowadays, my DH says it does look a bit large on me when I carry it (when it was his idea for me to get it in the first place, lol). I initally bought it due to the longer straps with no consideration to its weight or convenience.

I think it would look more proportinate to my built if I wore heels but I am now a SHM and I rarely find the need to wear heels (my weekly schedule comprises of trips to the park and kid parties). The price is probably the only thing keeping me from selling it at this point.

The GST seems to be a very popular, practical choice among tPF'ers and has definitely piqued up my interest! I am going to Vegas this Sept and I will definitely hunt for one to try out! How do you compare the weight to the Jumbo?

I saw your white in your mod pic and I have to say Canneiv, it's an attention-grabber. It truly is beautiful :)

I toyed with the idea of getting a pink bag a few months ago but thankfully changed my mind. Pink is so pretty and delicate but it's not as easy to pair off with clothes compared to basic black, brown, beige or red. The size is definitely a plus with regards to the jumbo. I find the single flap roomier than my reissue.

Thank you for all your input ladies! For now, my practical side wins and I have decided to sadly let go of the bag and maybe buy it pre-owned in the future when I have need for it. I feel that it's such a shame when I acquire beautiful things and hardly take it out and maybe someone will love and enjoy it more than I do!

I guess time for me to do some research on great alternatives.

but if it was me i would keep, especially since it is a single flap jumbo.

Keep it. It is a single flap. I love the single flaps much more than the double flaps. I used to be a double flap lover, but once I tried out a single flap of a friend of mine I have changed my mind. Much easier to use. But if it is in mint condition, you could get a good price for it if you do decide to sell.

Well, my question is--why don't you use it? Use it! :) I think it's large enough for work or school, classy enough for meetings, dinners and special occasions, casual enough to wear to the mall, and beautiful enough to wear on a date. I was using mine everyday, 24/7, until recently when I had to do rotation on my LVs (I've disposed of most of the LVs but I thought I'd keep a few for posterity hehehe)

Thanks for your input. I agree with you that I need to let it go if I don't use it and find it uncomfortable to carry. I'm too practical I guess and don't want to exceed more than 4 Chanel bags so I need to let go of one and find a replacement I guess :)

I think I'll need to find out what would be a great option, but since Chanel has so many beautiful bags to choose from...it's hard to decide :)

Weight and size. I would use it crossbody (more comfortable) but it looks too awkward on me even if I shorten the straps because of my petite height. It would make sense for work essentials but as a SHM I usually prefer something smaller and lighter for running quick errands or a bigger, roomier bag where I can throw in stuff (well, my son's stuff ) and take on short trips.

Keep it. Since it's in such good condition. You'd be able to sell it in a few years or a decade for LOTS of money :)
