The REISSUE is the common name for bags that are similar to the original design.

The classic is a variation on the original (different closure, leather interwomen in chain, etc.)

I know I will make things more complicated, but can anyone give some introduction of the east/west flap? What's the difference between mini classic flap and the e/w flap and the difference between the old chain and new chain? Thanks a lot!

And to follow-up on the question above, does all mini-flap come with the back tip pocket? Was there ever mini-flaps that didn't have a back pocket?

i have a question...I was looking around at a Chanel boutique and decided that i like the small-ish long size of the flap. After reading this thread, i tHINK that's the east/west one. But the bag i saw only had one strap...does east/west just refer to the size? or do all east/west only have one strap?

for example, this bag kind of looks the size i like, but it's double strapped. is it still an east/west?

finally, how much does a classic east/west (with the CC clasp) in caviar with silver hardware retail for now?

this is the information regarding sizes and prices for the new 2008 re-issues in Canada for the 225,226 & 227 that i received

size 225 - 11"w x 6 3/4"h x 3 3/8"d - $2625 (looks like measurements for old 226)

size 226 - 12 1/2"w x 7 1/2"h x 3 3/4"d-$2800 (looks like measurements for old 227)

size 227 - 13 3/4"w x 8 1/4"h x 4 3/4"d-$3000 (looks like measurements for old 228)
