^^the leather on the Commemorative REISSUES is distressed calf-skin. They have made later "Reissues" (2006/2007) in other distressed leathers as well - patent, etc.

So what is the timeless classic?? NM short hills told me those were the only bags that were going up in price and the SA had none to show me but said it was NOT the same bag as the classic flap...
uggghh!! Then I went to Chanel at Short Hills and good lord, the SA there confused me even more - he said reissues DID NOT have the mademoiselle closure (????) and the classic flap was never refered to as a 2.55 and he too could not show me a copy of a 2.55 - HELP???? Oh and the SA also said something about one of them having a BURGUNDY lining??? |

I also have a ?. Are the commemorative reissues no longer around for the most part? I believe I have one that I purchased on ebay from another TPF member. I will hold onto if hard to find.

Great post, but you may want to edit to correct the prices! There have been two increases since the ones you've listed there. Also, you forgot to mention that the 2.55 is the BEST PURSE EVER MADE. So says me

![]() The prices listed are the prices for the commemorative reissues in 2005. Also, some of the reissues released in early 2006. The later 2006 reissues increased in price, and prices have also increased in 2007. |

I am exhausted with all this 2.55 CC talk. Not so keen on this particular bag,but would love to have the large Chanel black croco bag, that was shown in ads about a year ago. The only reason I donīt have it is the price- it is sooo expensive. But a woman can dream, canīt she?

After reading all the post in the thread,
i just have some questions Was the reissue the original design ? The reissue is just an "improved" version of the classic? Was the classic the first to be launched? Thanks :) |
