Purple Jumbo ..didn't impresse me

I always wanted a purple jumbo and finally got to see the Purple Jumbo IRL today..BUT, it wasn't like what I expected, it looked bit smaller than the classic jumbo and the strap was short too which I didn't like..It is REALLY soft, softer than the purple e/w I reckon, I know I could handle that softness as m kinda rough to bags

..overall it really did not impress me, or I could say it kinda disappointed me..here are some pics, sorry that they r not very clear as I didn't dare to take them in the store, but just the window display..

I apologize to all the purple jumbo owners or to those who are gonna get it soon, really no offense here, just my humble opinions

It's ok hugoS. I'm an owner of the jumbo purple. I love it very much.

Different people like different things....hope you find your dream purple jumbo soon!

BTW, there's going to be a dark purple classic lambskin with silver HW (not the pewter HW in prefall) in Fall Act 2 I heard. Maybe that will be your dream purple jumbo!!

They're very vintage looking aren't they? Looks like the ones I bought 10 years ago. Even though it's not everyone's cup of tea, I certainly love mine.

The leather's so smooth, and purple,...oh well, it's just a happy color! imo.

I hope there'll be purple caviar too.

Yes, the colour is GORGEOUS, but I prefer e/w size to jumbo.
If purple jumbo comes in caviar, I could give up all my chanel bags for it

I agree that the e/w is the only purple flap in the vintage lamb that looks decent. It's really bizarre. I felt the disappointment with the medium as you did the jumbo. It's really shame. The standard has been set with the classic flap, so when you deviate from the proven winning formula, you're going to disappoint a fair number of the clientele. If they had come out with the star flap in an aged, maybe it would have had a better reception as it's a new design but they didn't and they again served up a dish of disappointment.

hugos- i feel the EXACT same way as you do! i had such high hopes on the purple jumbo and when i saw it, i was like "meh? this is it?" so unimpressive and disappointing to say the least..

I think it would've look better if it was done the old way i.e. no puffy sides and bottom. There is something about the lambskin quilting on these new classic flaps that's putting me off a bit - perhaps it flops a bit more, whereas I prefer how the previous/older style is more structured... anyway, just my 2 cents.

It's all very subjective, really

I was hoping for a different shade of purple. More similar to the previous purple flaps they had, like the one Mischa Barton was seen carrying. Also, I prefer the old hardware vs. the new more rounded CC's. To each his/her own!
