Default problem with camera bag ("frumpiness")
I don't know how to explain this, but I hate how the chains on my camera bag squish the bag inwards at the top and makes the outer pocket stick out. Especially if I have a small amount of heavy stuff in the bag. I stopped wearing the bag, hoping to figure something out until I saw this picture on the Sartorialist (I believe it was that site) of Sasha wearing the same bag. It seems her bag does the same thing!

Here is a photo of my bag with my essentials in it:

See how awkward the shape has become? >_< I wish it could somehow hold it's perfect shape when it's sitting and has nothing it, or at least the front pocket flap wouldn't stick out so far...

I got this bag this past August from Monaco, so there's no way I can exchange it in the US now.

I was just wondering if there was a way to possibly fix this?

I'm sorry this happen to you. Do you always wear yours single strap? Can you try wearing it in the different way like double straps? I don't have camera bag. I bought it once but returned it.

^ Yes, I always prefer wearing it single strap because I like my bags to hang closer to my hip.

I might take it into the Chanel store in Houston and ask if they have any solutions. :(

That happens to all of the reissue camera bags, especially if you wear them single strap. This style is supposed to be more casual chic, rather than structured and formal. I have this bag in grey, and I don't mind the slouchiness. I normally like structured bags, but I love how practical and cool this style is.

Its definitely a more relaxed look but I know what you mean. Its almost as though it could use a stitch or two at the end to keep it from sticking out. SA said the bag is soft so that is normal. Im a structured bag girl so Im not crazy about it.

I was tempted to buy this reissue camera bag as many celebrities and TPFers were photographed beautifully with it.

What held me back was, I have seen this bag always looking slouchy and "frumpy" like you described whenever it was carried or held by someone irl. The only time it looked perfect was when it was resting or sitting nicely on a chair/table/display shelf.

Sorry to hear it bothers you. It bugs me to see a rectangular Chanel bag being slouchy too. Reminds me of jumbo flap losing its shape with the washed caviar, or GST suffering from caved in sides.

Having said that, lots of people love it because its not as heavy as a Jumbo and it fits a tonne. Since you can't exchange the bag anymore, just enjoy it! Its afterall a HG for some

My camera bag is like that too. Too bad I also like to wear it with a single chain. But I still love her!

Thanks for the useful thread. I've been seriously considering getting a camera bag coz all the reveals made it look gorgeous but I'm really not keen on the slouchiness.
You've saved me money. lol
Sorry got no suggestions but you could try wearing it double straps

i gave up on the reissue camera bag cause on wearing single chain, it looks awkward like you mentioned. on wearing double chain, it's hard to get things in and out..

How about still wearing it single chain, but take the chain out of the front part (opposite of how you have it in the picture, where you have it coming out of the back part). Maybe if the chain comes out long in the front part (where the pocket is), that pocket will retain it's shape better?

Is the bag still slouchy if you wear it with a double chain? I saw pics of larkie using her camera case (double chain) it looked perfectly fine?

Yeah though i wished it would be more sturdy even when worn with single strap, but i think it still looks gorgeous even when frumpy!!
