My humble collection: medium black caviar flap with gold h/w (paid about $1150 for it brand new from the chanel boutique-- that's how long ago I got it); ice cube flap (got it on sale during first call at NM for $1155); and beige GST with gold h/w (a push present to myself for having my beautiful baby boy). Wanted: black medallion tote with silver h/w (might get it at next Saks EGC event).

Yes, Its 2005 Red Lambskin Medium/Large Flap. The other Red is Perforated Calfskin Medium/Large Flap from 2007.

So do you like mediums more than jumbos? I haven't bought a classic flap yet (the purple will be my first) and am stuck between a medium and jumbo. I wish there was a size inbetween. The medium seems a little small and the jumbo a little big. Not sure what to get. Any advice???

The current latest medium in lambskin material is way to soft and gentle compare to previous lambskin material. I have 05 red anc compare to current 08, I can even flip the flap without bend mark, like its not so structured at all. Because of this, it seems the bag is smaller than previous medium flap. In terms of colours, is all personal choice.

Between Jumbo and Medium/Large?
I love Medium/Large Flap compare to Jumbo. U can see how many flaps I have and I only hv 1 Jumbo. But when I use Jumbo for a while then found my flap so small, how to fit stuff? But for me, if I hv to choose, it will be any colour, caviar, medium/large flap.

Is that helping?

I am such a bad Chanel mommy! I haven't posted in this thread and I got my first bag in May!

Chanel Baby Cabas. It's the most I've ever spent on a bag but it was completely worth it.

Yes, it did help. It seems as though the new bags are much more unstructured as I have heard that from other tpfers as well. For the size of the flap, it seems to be a personal decision. Some swear by the medium size and others by the jumbo. I am going to see them again IRL at our tpf meet in a couple of weeks and will get the girls opinions too with them on me. That will help as well. Thanks for your advice, it did help me.

Bri 333, go store and try both of them on, I meant both classic flap (more structured one) and jumbo as well, then decide. Also tried both classic flap (structured) and the latest softer flap. Let us know ya, its fun to get the very first bag, have fun sweety

Interesting! I honestly think the seller of the eBay item stole this photo to enhance their auction, because their own pics are nothing to write home about. Zeitgeist's pic is of a black cabas, whereas the auction is for a navy cabas and none of the other pics look like Zeitgeist's.
