Beautiful collection, dbt! Do you find you wear your older pieces or do they get put aside for the newer things which become your favourites?

oh no! i LOVE vintage chanel. my vintage pieces are all recent purchases for me. i had a woman in japan that sold fine chanel vintage pieces and i bought several pieces from her...these pieces are actually some of my fave pieces.
i am sad to say i am unable to locate her now.. boo hoo.

i posted a pic of my absolute favorite chanel piece and it's a vintage chanel belt..i'll re-post it in case you didn't see it.

i wear this belt with jeans, black pants, etc, and a few years ago, i wore it with a black string chanel bikini and manolo blahnik jewled stilleto heels poolside on vacation. that was a site.

the new stuff is fun, but the vintage pieces are very special to me.

here is the belt again....oh and the belt is worn lower on the hips than on the model...

when i wore it with my bikini i wore it more on my hips. i wear my jeans a little lower than my waist, so yes, i wear it lower...only with black pants or such do i wear it a little higher, because dress pants are higher waisted.

yes! it is really heavy!!! it's a very substantial piece. it is probably my favorite chanel item that i own. i really cherish this belt! :)

btw, the denim shorts are either a 34 or 36. i can't remmeber and i don't have them in front of me right now. i have a few other chanel shorts, when i find them i'll post them. but my favorite shorts are a pair of Louis Vuitton shorts that have a gold LOUIS VUITTON (in cursive) metal plate on one of the butt pockets. and all of the hardware on the shorts are the same gold. they are soooooo lux. i am a chanel women through and through, but the lv shorts are TO DIE 4!
