The matte black reissue 226 with gold hardware versus with classic black caviar jumbo with silver hardware. Which one you guys prefer? Which one more popular? And why? Thanks

You have great taste. Both are gorgeous bags & truly classics. Personally, I like the matte black reissue 226 with GH (I have this one). I think it's understated, gives off a vintage vibe, & is more versatile (day/night, dressed up/down). But I think the most popular bag now is the classic flap caviar jumbo with SH (I have this with GH) ---I hear you now have to get on the waiting list for this. No worries. These are a continuous line ---you just have to wait for the next shipment to come in to purchase.

well said. i have the jumbo caviar w/ SHW. i'm thinking about getting the reissue in black matte w/ GHW now too. so i would say get the jumbo now. and get the reissue later as eventually you'll need both. just my .02.

I know the jumbo caviar with silver hw is in the permanent classic collection so you could get it anytime (stock depending).
I'm not sure if it's the same for the reissue 226.
If I were you I would get the one which is most difficult to get - they are both great choices (and you'll end up getting both lol!)

I have the classic jumbo with silver hardware but i also love the 226 so it is a hard decision.... i say get the classic jumbo first.

I love reissue and classic flap. Both of them are divine. Regarding the popularity, they are at the same level. It just a matter of personal preference. Yet, i chose the classic for my first Chanel collection

I've always voted for 'reissue' but this time round, I'm voting for Jumbo Caviar. Reason being now I feel, imho at some point of time in life, every girl do need at least a black caviar.

In the end, you'd end up with both.

Both are fantastic!! I am sure you'll get one first then the other!! that's what happened to me and in the end , i ended up with 3 reissues and 1 jumbo!! You just can't stop at one! hhahahaa
