I also have the black jumbo caviar with SH. I don't have the reissue with GH but I have the black reissue camera bag with GH and love it. Go for the jumbo and then the reissue! Both are great so you have a win-win situtation here.

Reissue first, if you can only afford one. I've seen way too many Jumbos around!

Have your ever tried a reissue bag on? I always advise people to do so and try the clasp. I have 2 reissues that I don't use. I love the look, but hate dealing with the clasp. It may not bother you, I just wanted to bring it to your attention.

There's no easy answer to your question. Why you wonder? Word on the forum is Chanel is phasing out the structured caviar in favor of washed. I know, what are they thinking??? Regarding reissues, two SAs have said the company is focusing on classic flaps and not reissues. What does that mean exactly? One might assume reissues may be more difficult to reel in until the company decides to produce them. There's so many things that are said but who knows what is indeed fact.

I would choose the black reissue. Yes, the clasp can be a hassle sometimes but it's a stunning, stunning piece. Am not a fan of black caviar, but this is me. If the structured caviar is a dying breed, you're in for one heck of a decision. (Black calf or black lamb stole my heart years ago; I do know how well caviar wears, handles in the rain, snow, etc. and I actually own a few just not in black.)

I am not a fancy of the reissue with gold hardward so I vote for the caviar jumbo.

I know I voted for both... but now I am also in a little of a pickle. I have the Black Matte Reissue with Gold Hardware BUT I am also planning to get the Black Caviar with Silver Hardware in small AND jumbo. Would that be too much black? I like the black reissue but the thing is, it is sooo hard to match!! My jewellery, shoes, etc is all silver. Not sure what to do now. Thinking of selling it eventhough I only got it afew months ago.

I love Both! Both are gorgeous bags! I would get the reissue first then Jumbo in another colour. (Red, Purple, Blue)

Both are amazing, but I've got to vote for the Jumbo. Reissues are amazing, but the Caviar leather is just so much more practical.
